Does it really matter? Niners destroyed week 1 opponents last 2 years. Didn't work out real well.

True, but this season has a different feel to it. Not saying we going to turn things around completely, but we should be able to do better than last season.

We've won Week 1 games six years in a row (not that this stat really means anything).

2016: 28-0 over the Rams
2015: 20-3 over the Vikings
2014: 28-17 over the Cowboys
2013: 34-28 over the Packers
2012: 30-22 over the Packers
2011: 33-17 over the Seahawks
2010: 6-31, destroyed by Seahawks :(

He really....really...hates Chip Kelly

This. It's why I didn't hate on him hating the niners last year, I knew it wasn't at us, it was at baalke and mainly, chip. He hates chips offense for the same reasons I do.
