I was just referencing the specific defensive skill positions.

So I guess in a nutshell I mean the individual interior defenders that will be tasked with improving that area of the defense may be the most important to me, because of how bad we were in that area just a season ago. We really need some run defenders to distinguish themselves. If they do their job than guys like Bowman and Foster can do theirs in the run defense as well.

Hopefully Carlos Hyde remembers Frank Gore's first rule: Never let a rookie take your job.

It was incredible how poor we were right down the middle for a variety of reasons. Needless to say, I feel better going into this year but still, a lot to prove.

Overpaid him lol.. NC was like fine, I'll let that one slide. He's making 8.3 mill combined next two years then I believe we can cut with no dead money. I'm trying to think of a scenario where someone was drafted and it took going up to week 1 for that player to start.

Maybe play Smith in base and Foster in Nickel? I don't know if Foster is experienced enough for day one nickel. I'm just happy we also got Ray-Ray in case someone goes down. Like I have no favorites right now in based or nickel, give me the best two every down.

I mean honestly lets be real.. This isnt madden. If a team converts a first down or two, or three you cant tell me a guy who is winded is better than someone like Ray-Ray or Foster ready to come in and play like junk yard dogs.

Would yall sacrifice depth if Bow gets beat out by pre-season end and ship him off for something? Hate to bring this up cause i know Bow is a touchy subject.

I think hell be taken out in a 3rd down pass situation and there's nothing wrong with that.
