From the start. Lynch said he going to have a team that's wants to play, a team you can be proud of

We're most likely gonna just develop Kittle. Hikutini goes to the practice squad. Next year draft a stud TE or get a top one in free agency to go with Kittle.

i dont think Shanahan employs alot of double TE sets. Correct me if im wrong

I'm not really sure. But I'm sure he wants multiple solid tight ends.

He's classic west coast so he doesn't necessarily employ a 2nd TE as much as a "U" back. Most teams put a 2nd TE in that spot. Delanie was that for us, Hernandez was that for the Patriots. Rathman played that role a lot under Walsh.

I see Shanny using "juice" in that spot a lot and then, when matchups work better for blocking situations or presenting a run look we might use Paulsen or Celek in that spot.

Kittle should be a solid rookie contributor for us. Real chance he starts now. His blocking is developed from college, especially on the move which is great in his scheme. He's also got solid receiving skill and athleticism. I'm excited about him.

Health is a concern.

Where do celek and Blake land in the depth chart now

Nowhere on a 9ers roster.

We don't need no one playing on special teams!

We have Kittle, Paulsen, Juice and don't forget about Nelson too if needed...plus extra OL can add to run blocking. 2 is probably all we need in this scheme...3 with Juice.
I can see this guy being a matchup nightmare for other teams...even more athletic ability than McDonald, much better hands, and a tough blocker when needed in this scheme.

Agreed. Excited to see what Kittle in the offense as the season goes

Shanny actually runs more 3 tight end sets than any coach in the league. He passes on those plays 50/50 too. I imagine with Juice he'll be 1/3 but that still doesn't leave much depth if someone gets hurt.

Regarding "Juice" - that guy catches like Tom Rathman and just looks like a quicker and faster version Tom Rathman. I think the number #44 fits him to a tee in this organization.

Other than perhaps the defensive line, I don't think there's much depth everywhere. It's a sad place to be. Baalke

Hikutini will be ready on the PS if needed. But this is a great point. Maybe Kyle keeps Celek.
George Kittle aggravated his hamstring in Wednesday's practice and was listed as limited.
Kittle missed a week of practice early in training camp with a hamstring issue. Midweek setbacks are never a good sign, so this is something to watch, not that Kittle was much of a fantasy option anyway. With the trade of Vance McDonald to the Steelers, Kittle is the 49ers' no. 1 tight end.

Cam inman
The hammy injury is concerning. Those tend to stick around.

No worries, Logan Paulsen and Garrett Celek will deliver!

Wait....wut?
picked up Kittle with my last pick, biggest sleeper ever

He'll keep sleeping if his hamstring is an issue.
