Congrats to Kittle...Shanahan's style of offense incorporates the tight end a lot. I've noticed going back to Kubiak and his pops Mike...Not that it's a bad thing but the tight end in this offense should be complementary to more explosive weapons. It's very important that the wide outs stay healthy and develop. I think of a good balanced attack when this offensive philosophy comes to mind. Quarterback is there, Tight end is there, Running backs seem to be there, Wide outs need to develop a little more.

It's about winning. Kittle had 800+ yards while trailing, Kelce had 330. People see it as garbage time stats. His last td that put him over the top was the definition of a garbage time play.
Amazing season that was well deserving of 1st team honors but if it's close the guy on a winning team has the advantage.

Dude only had 5 TDs so that brings it down a bit.

Agreed.
But I was laughing at the sentence itself. "Its a NO BRAINER that ______ is ARGUABLE" could possibly be the dumbest sentence I may have ever read in my life.

No you had it nailed....he's clearly a p***y and not tough enough to play in the NFL. We should probably look to upgrade....

It's obvious that it's debatable tbh.

No as usual he nailed it..clearly this was a fluke year and Sus's equation of s**tting on all things Niners is infallible. If Kittle's didn't lack the nfl toughness he easily could have had 120+ catches and 1800+ yards.....I mean he did have Beathard and Mullens throwing him the ball all years. Can't wait to see what we do when we get a really tough TE.

Not sure if serious. If so, completely missed the point. If being sarcastic, this lacked comedy.

Hey, I'm just giving Sus some props man. He said that Kittle's lacks nfl toughness. He obviously nailed it, I mean the p***y only played half the year with cracked ribs. Could you imagine what a tough TE could have done with Beathard and Mullens throwing him the ball?

Same here. It will be harder for Kittle to replicate the yardage because he will get all the attention next year by defenses.
But I think he still gets his.

I hope his yards are down a bit next year due to the ball being spread around a bit more.
I can't imagine many winning teams have featured a TE with 3X as many yards receiving than the next highest total on the team.
Having 3x as many receiving yards than the next guy is pretty impressive as an individual stat.

Ofcourse that many yards were trailing bc the 49ers were ALWAYS trailing and Chiefs NEVER were. Is he supposed to not catch passes? Trailing is also arbitrary as being down slightly does not = garbage time. Trailing by 3 scores maybe, but trailing by 1-2 scores with over 4 min left to play is not garbage time.
I agree Kelce gets the tie breaker but you can't dismiss those stats
