You know what Sus? I was locked into Cuzins coming here too. Everything kyle said and did, you knew what he wanted. Cuzins. And then when JimmyG dropped on us, I kinda went, "wonder how kyle will handle this, and will he still go for cuzins?" Well, obviously he was torn. but I think that first game, he took pause. That second game he smiled. that third game....it was like, "Cuzins who?" Games 4 and 5 were just candy and dessert, because the bloom never fell off the rose. KE-ristmas...wuz we lucky. Bald faced lucky. Still and all, John set things in motion early on at combine last yr when he asked BB if there was any way he might part with JG. As you know answer was no. Then post SB, kyle took time to find BB and ask him what he, kyle, had done wrong , and what BB thot he should have done. Bellichek has mentioned more than once, that story and it obviously made a deep impression on him. So when time came and clock was running out , Bellichek had to get something for JimmyG, and he called the two guys he thot were up and comers...not to mention in NFC and we wouldn't play one another more than once every 3-4 yrs or so, unless in SB. So we were a slam dunk...but our two guys had on their own, gone and sought out Bellichek and he never forgot it. And THAT is how we came to be called....also BB greatly admires Kyle's dad, Mike.

Lynch's rah rah type personality mixed with Kyle's straight forward bluntness and honesty seem to mix very well.
Yes sir...indeed.

It is a slap in the face to JG. Cousins is so meh.
Nothing good can come from KS gushing over Cousins. At minimum it makes it sound like he got lucky by gettinghanded JG, at worst it undermines JG.
Some things are better left unsaid.

Better to alienate your FQB by constantly reminding him he was not the first choice.
