Should we fire him? only if we want to be known as the stupidest team in history.
Was he a major contributor to the Falcons meltdown? Yes he was. It's ok to admit he made mistakes.

It's always the coach not the OC
So the guy calling the plays gets a complete pass? I mean the argument that it was all his fault is as childish as he was blameless. Lets be real.

Yeah, that's the funny thing though all of his Niner teams haven't started fast every single year except for when a bunch of guys were injured. That's a totally incorrect statement. He's talking out of his ass. One year they got to the NFC championship when they started the season like absolute dog s**t.
He was Atlanta's OC not DC
I wonder if Roddy is in shape.

It's also wildly incorrect that Shanny is overthinking things and not trusting his players is what lost the SBs. If anything, the opposite is true: he trusted his players to not have turnovers, but they did. He trusted his players to follow the play as designed, but one guy going rogue blows up a potential TD. Players play, coaches coach. Anyone who watches SF games knows Shanny understands his role.

He sounds like he's glad/ happy/content to have Brock control the offense. Not have to worry about every minute details of the offense. And if it goes bad on the field, Brock have his back with the off schedule stuff. Been looking for this level of trust all his career.

He can concentrate even more with stringing plays together to put defenses in a blender.

Roddy White is still bitter at Kyle for pushing him down on the Depth Chart.

agreed he went to aggressive and trusted his players to execute. i mean without beeing a seer you cant always make the right coaching decisions every play. But none of the games were we outcoached.

If the game day sideline shoe fits then… Here it from from people I know. "WTF is he doing throwing ball like hell in this situation. He is not a good in game strategist." Second half against Wash was another instance. He needed to run the f**king ball. Those 3 ten second three and outs will let any opposing offenses to light off. He doesn't think that.

People want it both ways they want to stay aggressive but don't want the consequences when it doesn't work out

<sigh> just give Kyle a good defensive coach (Raheem) and a good defense and he'll eventually win a Super Bowl. Defense wins championships. Kyle's not a defensive coach so he's had to be aggressive on the offensive side becuase he's not confident on his defensive side.

Just as an aside, his prior defenses (I think) before Raheem had the fatal flaw of just being too simple and too easy to read and a bit unbalanced. Again just my opinion after watching 5 superbowl wins and 3 superbowl losses.
