49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan Thread

Great win, coach. Found a way.
When in doubt find George.
What's Kyle's overall record as a 49ers HC now?

A tough, gritty win

Should easily surpass the franchise record for HC wins of 108 (Siefert) by sometime next year. Could match/surpass that as early as this year if SF wins the SB with a 19-1 or 18-2 record regular season + playoffs. Long odds for an 18 or 19 win season, though.

No worries. I actually thought it was better. Some throw away seasons detract from many very solid regular and postseason wins.

I was mad at him for the conservative play calling in the first half

But it turns out he probably knows what he's doing as always
Just no more QB sneaks when it is 2 yards.

He's basically had four bad seasons out of nine - the rebuild years of 2017-2018, and the SB hangover/injury years of 2020 and 2024. It's part of his story as a HC, but he's never bottomed out because of bad coaching. It's always been because his personnel was lacking.

I hope someone asks him about that. My guess is he had bad info / misunderstood the difference to go for the first.

I feel like he was trying to tire out the Denver defense. They definitely loosened up a bit in the second half but that was also because of the injuries. The 49ers defense melted in the second half as well. That heat must have been killer

84-50 since start of 2019.

💯

My mind for some reason dismissed those rebuild years and that hellish 2020 season.
