Yeah, I think losing Shanahan was bigger than either of those losses. GB beat us because Holmgren knew exactly how to slow the offense. We'd have beaten Dallas again and won it had he not gone to Denver.

Lines were manhandled on both sides of the ball in those Packers losses.

They also lost to the Chiefs in Arrowhead, lol.
People forget that Harris Barton was out for that game, while Jesse Sapolu was out for the second half. 49ers lost to Derrick Thomas far more than they lost to Montana that day.

Wholeheartedly agree about the people we lost.
Be that as it may, no one thought/thinks of Dallas as the boogie man anymore. The "spell" was broken. One win where it counts can do the same for us today. I hope against hope that we get to face KC in the big dance this year.

Sorry to say but the NFL doesn't care what your costs are as long as they keep raking in money. I can't watch the Niners on TV today because the NFL decided Eugene, OR is now Seahawks territory. I hardly ever see a Seahawks cap or shirt but I see lot's on Niners gear. Very few people here are Seahawks fans.

What's the most impressive thing about this Miami game? I absolutely love how Kyle stayed aggressive after a two touchdown lead. That is absolutely stunning. I'm not sure I've seen that in the last 7 years. Can someone name another game?
