My old man had a medical episode and blacked out driving off a service road. Hit a pole dead on around 40mph. Two off duty cops were waiting at a light right there and saw the entire thing and rushed to him aide. They knew right away he had a medical episode etc.
The seatbelt and airbag saved his life but at a cost. Open broke wrist (hand was on the wheel and became compressed on impact) cracked ribs and collarbone. You could see the seat belt bruise across his torso. They said the ribs were probably from the steering wheel hitting him a tiny bit even with the airbag. Collarbone hairline fracture from the seatbelt....Insane whiplash on your body in that moment as you can imagine. He fully recovered, but the ribs bothered him the most. He could barely handle the rib pain. That lasted like 6-7 weeks then it just stopped and he felt really good.
Living through that experience makes me wonder if Kyle passed out/ wasn't conscious.

Shades of June Jones who almost died in 2001 and was actually in a coma for two weeks. He bounced back quickly that same year and didn't miss a beat. And he led Hawaii to its best season ever in 2007 before being annihilated by Matt Stafford and Georgia in the Sugar Bowl.

Withholding info screams some kind of fault IMO . Whether he is just a s**tty driver and/or is too cool
for a seatbelt .

They withheld the information for 11 days. Then the Niners announced it at precisely noon eastern. Then everybody else immediately reported what they already knew. When the powerful control the flow of information, they control thought, and we are not free. Who do these people think they are? This happened on a public road, and it was known.
We still don't know the facts. Ultimately, we are the ones that control the team's and coach's support. We can't do that now. That's what they want.

Some people here have a weird entitlement. The 49ers made public statement when it became necessary - Shanahan's health condition preventing him from starting the training camp. Until then he had no public facing duties, so there was no obligation to discuss it publicly. If he had recovered fully before the start of training camp there would be no reason to discuss it publicly at all. It would be different of there was a legal matter at play, but there's nothing to suggest that is the case.

All around bad look .
lack of transparency causes confusion and leads to mistrust.

What about the accident would change your opinion of the team or Kyle negatively? If there was a DUI , I assume that would have been reported. If Kyle crossed the middle line, for some reason like too tired or another woman in the car, would that change your opinion ?

WE FINALLY MADE IT!!! LFG!!
I had a speech written for this moment. Kyle went and ruined it with his car crash. But, glad he's going to be ok, heal fast coach. Don't let 8ball Foerster be in control for too long.

An at fault infraction isn't a crime it's an accident. Sure it becomes a crime if one of the drivers was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This wasn't the case hence the option for privacy. Is Kyle an alcoholic? Yes he is but that's still not a crime. He was taken to the hospital so guaranteed a toxicology was done by medical staff as routine procedure. Nothing was found. Drop the conspiracy it was simply bad luck. He was at dinner in Palo Alto at 6pm and got into an accident on route to the restaurant
