Yes he had his drops, like Vernon used to... but he was damn dangerous, and we've NEVER have had two playmaking TEs at one time like that since... Vance McDonald had size and speed, but not the agility or consistency than Walker had with us... Tonges has the clutchness... probably better hands than both Walker and Vernon, but he doesn't have the lethal speed as they did.
Yall fans are weird ass hell when it comes to our past contributers...our past playmakers who helped the team...... well unless it's Alex Smith and Jimmy G, then yall get wet all over again when it comes to them.
When Vernon or Randy Moss (yes Randy) cleared out the middle, Delanie was killing teams over the middle.. as well as a great blocking TE.
330 yards and 3 tds is hardly lethal. Harbaugh regime didn't know how to actually take advantage of weapons to their fullest potential. Still don't.
Delanie left because he wanted to be featured in a real passing offense.

Kyle Shanahan was asked what does the team need to improve in order to get to back to the Super Bowl:

Kyle Shanahan was asked if he could pick between winning 1 Super Bowl and only making the playoffs 1 other time in the next 9 seasons or being competitive and making deep playoff runs for 10 seasons, which would he pick:

Jacob Cowing has looked good in OTAs and we brought in some fast rookies, so we might have the answers we need to deal with whatever the Seahawks defense throws at us.

Cowling has looked good in OTAs for two straight seasons. Same BS.

MacDonald is a terrific coach and he has a great defense in Seattle which will be a grind to go up against but let's stop crowning these teams until we see how everyone looks this season. We have a lot of changes on our team. I'm confident Kyle isn't sitting back just to roll out the same game plan against them this season.
