49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan Thread

Grant Cohn is an ass but he is right in that multiple superbowls have been squandered and there is no one to blame except shanahan and lynch.

the most egregious was the Trey lance trade and draft. You don't draft a project qb when you have a ready to win a championship roster. I have no f**king clue what they were thinking. All that lost capital. The lost prime years for the all pros on this team. Just depressing.

Dude is both an embarrassment to both the Press Democrat and now Sports Illustrated or at least he should be

You don't just get to Super Bowl berths, you've got to earn them. And when you've earned them, you have got to face another opponent that has earned them too. We lost to KC twice. Do you think we were entitled to win both games? One with Jimmy G and the other with Mr Irrelevent whilst facing Patrick Mahomes? Sure we lost nail biters where we had a lead, but one could argue that we were at a deficiency at both HC and QB both times. Both of those positions at the time were 1 of 1 in the entire NFL. We have been a top 5 team at a minimum throughout their (Kyle and John) tenure and there are 32 teams in this league. I would say we are in a good spot and we have no choice removing all opinion and emotion and logically thinking but to stay the course. The math clearly indicates this

By the way. Who might you have us replace them with? We just won 13 games and we want to take the next step. How do we proceed beyond John and Kyle?

they don't get to a SB with Kyle. So everything else you stating doesn't matter. Grant is a horses ass who thrives off rage bait takes. Folks should understand that by now. It's how the internet works.

Heres ammunition for those that hate Kyle, from one of his biggest haters hehe..

Ouch. As a fan that is tough to read.

Plenty of truth as to what was said In that article too Tbh.

You give them credit for getting to the superbowl. You should equally give them blame for not getting it done. Jed said after firing harbaugh we don't hang nfc championship banners. They were hired to do one thing. 9 years and counting and they haven't delivered.
It's hilarious how much grant lives rent free in so many peoples heads. There are even mouth breathers who super chat him (PAY HIM MONEY) so they can insult him!!! Just shows how stupid some people are. Know what I do with people I don't like? I ignore them. I certainly don't give them clicks. And I am DEFINITELY not gonna pay him so he reads on his show how much I don't like him!!!!

Had to try and justify that firing. It was hollow.

Yeah I'm pretty sure nobody took that seriously. Especially when they hired Tomsula to replace him.

What he should've said was "Jim's act was wearing thin on the team and we're not going in the right direction plus Trent Baalke and Jim don't get along"

...obviously he can't be honest. So we got that BS line.

Definitely true. Even going back to SB 47, there were so many missed opportunities through the years. Not giving the ball to Gore on that last drive to the 3rd and 15 in SB 54 to not blocking Jones for an extra second in 2023. Not to mention a dropped pick vs the Rams in 2021 up ten.

I do believe Eddie would have fired Kyle after 2021 or 2023. He was a passionate owner obsessed with winning. Would it have been the right decision? Who knows.

Eddie will never allow the 49ers to lose SUPER BOWLS... dude wanted to fire Walsh after the Vikings 87 upset.. and saw how much he loved winning the Super Bowl and how he said " this city needs it !! "

just like he did with Marc Trestman.. the moment Kyle blew the LEAD from his 1st Super Bowl.. " HE'S GONE " ...
All of this talk about our electrical substation possibly leading to injuries may deter people from wanting to play here so I hope they move the practice facility.

Eddie would have canned Kyle after 23'. Losing one is excusable but two...

I think earlier than that. Losing a 10 point lead in the 4th in a SB, following it up with losing a 10 point lead in the 4th in the NFCC ? No way. Eddie would lose his s**t in the locker room after that Rams game and probably fire both Kyle and Lynch on the spot.

Tell me anything in that article is wrong. It's a synopsis of everything we've complained about over the years.

Ever hear of revisionist history?

It's hilarious how you guys eat up crap like this....Chowder is going on a timeout for spreading this filth

Cohn is the perfect example of big mouth with nothing of substance behind it. He's perfect for guys like you because he has no problem brushing aside facts, logic and context to push a clickbait post/article. Thing is...he gets paid from that. What's your excuse?

The article is littered with fallacies, half truths and just straight up ignorance. Once again...no wonder you resonate with what it says.

Problem for Grant and why rational people don't take him seriously is because he's got absurd takes all the time and when they're wrong he pretends they never happened. I do wonder how much of that possible dynasty happens if they listened to Cohn and not drafted Nick Bosa like he wanted? Dude was out there trying to compare Bosa to Solomon Thomas because of their combine numbers and wrote an article how the 49ers should avoid the mistake of drafting Nick Bosa.

Yeah no sh*t in hindsight they shouldn't have traded for Jimmy. Went after Tom Brady and/or Matt Stafford. We've talked about all of this. They're not realistic criticisms to anyone who pays attention to reality.

I don't think Chowder should go on a timeout. The article is posted on the Webzone front page. He didn't go digging for it on some random website. I know you don't want to rehash old news, but one it's offseason and two if ppl are linking articles posted on the webzone that should be fair game to debate. Now if we're pulling stuff from some random website or posting random thoughts from some twitter handle, then you can set the bar and punish us accordingly.

I always knew you were a real one

I'm back from my time out and I've learned from this. I'd like to apologize for what I've done and will be holding a press conference soon...
