I do remember in the early days of Jed, him saying - and separately Eddie D confirming - that he would regularly discuss team matters with his uncle. He certainly gave the impression that Jed had been educated in his Uncle's methodology and approach. But we should also bear in mind that Eddie was by no means perfect in his dealings with Coaches and GM's.

No way Kyle and Lynch would still be around if he was still in control. Jed just cares about raking in the revenue, even if it means making fools out of the fans
Absolutely correct. Thats why there's a documentary about him and the dynasty.
there won't be a documentary about Jed or Kyle in 30 Years. Wonder why.
I disagree. Someone will make a YouTube video of their achievements. Will have nice techno music in the background too…

My only question would be:
Doesn't it mean something if you actually make it to the Super Bowl even if you don't win it?
Meaning, we talk about this 31 year drought…BUT we have made it to 3 Super Bowl in that drought.
Does that not mean anything?
Yea it's on ownership to give you the means to get there but it's on the players to win. Us losing three Super Bowls hasn't been on Jed. That's the players and coaches
If in the past 31 years we never made it to a Super Bowl that could be seen as a drought. But making 3 Super Bowls in the past 31 years does not seem bad or a drought to me. It does seem like a championship culture. So Jed has done something.
In other words, even though the Toronto Blue Jays lost to the Dodgers in the last World Series, I think it was a major achievement that Toronto still got there and had a championship culture last season.
In my opinion, the definition of a drought would not include teams that made it to a World Series or Super Bowl. Teams in droughts would be those that have not made a World Series or Super Bowl.
So I really do not think the 49ers are in a 31 year drought having been to 3 Super Bowls in the past 20 years.
When was the last time the Dallas Cowboys made it to a Super Bowl? Now that's a drought!!!

That's only if you are happy to come in second place. Most fans are not feeling that.

The difference ? > salary cap didn't exist under Eddie D

EddieD should b***h slap some sense into his pathetic nephew.
And to prove that going to a Super Bowl means something, let's say 2 teams have 3 rings each. The tiebreaker is determined then by how many Super Bowls each of those teams has been to.
So if one team is 3/3 and another team is 3/5, the win goes to the team who is 3/5 because they have been to more Super Bowls! 😊

We'll be more remembered for losing super bowls than winning them should the trend continue. It's time to put a stop to that and get back to winning ways by starting with #6

I'd agree with this for the first appearance or two, but getting so close three times and losing is hard to swallow. String together a couple more appearances without a ring, and suddenly the idea of a curse feels pretty real.
