its non stop woulda, shoulda, coulda.

I've never seen it in happen in my life and have already accepted that it won't.

7 NFCCGs and 3 SBs in 14 years and no rings? lol yeah if there's a sign that it ain't happening that's it right there.

Really? Does that go for the Eagles who had a 56 year drought? Chiefs who went 50 years?

Guess Bills, Lions and every other team who has never won a SB(or in some of those cases even got to the SB) will never be able to win one?

Hey man, you cope however you want.
i grew up during their peak. Saw all of their super bowls. Went to the parades in SF. If your cool with not experiencing that, it's all you bro!
but those nfc championships and Super Bowl losses are cool!👍🏼

Yea Pat Mahomes is better than Flacco, but the Ravens competed for a long time and didn't need Mahomes. Flacco ended up playing better than Mahomes ever has in the playoffs in 2012 and they got it done that way

Mahomes got picked twice in our first SB. We picked him off in the second one too. Brady threw a pick 6 in the falcons SB. Kyle just can't get it done. My main problem with Kyle is that he's been in 3 SBs and I can point directly to him for losing 2 of them, and I continue to see him trip up on the same details that cost him in the big games

I'm sorry but this is a joke. First of all since you're clearly putting blame on him for a 28-3 collapse by the Falcons who don't get to the SB without him, while at the same time giving no blame to the DCs who Kyle had as HC in the SBs.

About as dishonest a take as possible. Every single one of you guys b***hing about Shanahan don't have the same energy for others. You're in here pulling out every possible reason why Harbaugh totally didn't fumble that Ravens SB but Shanahan is directly responsible for losing with the Falcons while the HC with a defensive background gets no blame for blowing a 25 point lead.

Pure cope.

If the 49ers had done what KC did and pulled off the comebacks to win then posters would be saying how great our QB was. KC fans would be complaining about a defensive collapse.

We'd also be laughing at Andy Reid if he chose to take the ball first in OT. Like how the KC fans and players did to Shanahan

The look of "surprise" on Mahommes face. For second Id swear he felt sorry for the 49er players. Then he went and won the SB.

where did I say I'm cool with losing those NFC titles or Superbowls???

it's the sheer volume of those losses in such a short time without any hardware that makes me pessimistic for the future. Any other team in this century knock on the doorstep that many times without a ring? No.

funny how the older fans s**t on younger fans when we've never had the privilege of seeing the Niners win Super Bowls.

Wasn't meant for you man. It was meant for genus.

There are posters here who get mad at us fans who would like to see ring 6,7, and 8. Like we should be satisfied with competing, well, a lot of fans are perfectly fine with that. I got tired of arguing with people. That's why I say, you guys who are good with keeping a coach who has proven he cannot win the Super Bowl even under the best conditions……because at least the teams competitive………👍🏼

you guys keep on keeping on with the low expectations.

Now feel free to bold where that was said or I'll expect a "my bad bro"

Stop making up crap to play a victim. Nobody here is mad for fans wanting what everyone else here wants - SB wins.

You're also not the only one to watch the old SBs happen. You're not better than any fan here who may not have been around for it. I expect you to have conversations without making up BS narratives.

My point was simple - just because there is a long gap in SB wins doesn't somehow mean you can't win a SB eventually.

If you have no response to that then don't respond.

SB windows are a real thing....I feel ours has passed with Kyle. Right now it's just about maintaining the status quo unless we see some real turnover and an attempt to get younger fast.
BTW, I'm not lamenting here because I am anti-Shanahan. I like him even if there are certain things I believe he is far too stubborn about. Overall he is a net positive coach.

I just believe that we have witnessed some of the worst luck and you can't blame a younger fan for being pessimistic.

This is how the last 8 playoff experiences have ended for the Niners. Some of us have only seen these playoff runs.

2011: Kyle Williams fiasco
2012: Three straight throws to Crabtree to lose the SB
2013: Dick Sherman posterizing us
2019: Jimmy G overthrow; referees; Mahomes
2021: Jimmy G, Tartt
2022: Purdy tears his elbow ligament and we play with no QBs
2023: Greenlaw injury, referees, Mahomes, brutal loss in overtime
2025: 41-6 spanking.

I just don't know anymore lol

SB windows are a real thing. However we saw Kyle create that window and he now has a QB way better than the one that was around when the window was opened. That's the most important part in today's NFL.

The team just went 12-5 and won a playoff game decimated by injury at critical positions and impacting our franchise players almost across the board. Thinking that the SB window is closed or cannot reopen isnt based on anything real.

Age is a real thing also....Our starting RB will be 30 next year after seeing 413 touches (400 touch wall for RB's is a real thing). Our injured Star DE will be 29 coming off his 3rd career season ending knee injury. Our Star TE will be 33 attempting to come back from a career threatening achilles injury. Our Star OT is going to be 38. Our all pro FB is going to be 35. Our star LB is going to be 30 and he too is coming back from a serious season ending injury. We lack serious talent at WR with the potential of losing one of our better guys as a F/A.

To top it off this team needs a few new starters all over the back end of our Defense and with the prospect of Gus Bradley as our next DC making it hard to see happen. This team will also not get the benefit of having the easiest schedule in the league next year.

Not saying we won't make the playoffs but I don't see us in the hunt either.

When Kyle Williams happened I had a terrible feeling hit me. Worse than the immediate affect of loss. Almost like a dark cloud settling over the 49ers. We needed to get one trophy between that year and the following year.
