Just being able to run the football could change everything. Your offense isn't one dimensional anymore. You keep their defense on the field.

Years of being dominated? Things change quickly in the NFL. Lose a couple players in free agency and suffer a cou[le big losses due to injury and you lose your dominance. It was only a few years ago that Seattle went from ther dominant team to being dominated by the Niners and Rans. They started drafting with the specific goal of being able to stop those offenses.
Look at this year. The Chiefs and Ravens didn't even make the playoffs after being the dominant teams for years. NE suddenly has a shot at getting to another SB. Nothing lasts long in the NFL with the way players move around.

And stopping the run on the other side, especially against that team.

They got contracts to hand out pretty soon, they gonna give Sam a legit extension? SF beat them when we weren't all hurt.
Kyle is obviously gonna have to adapt and we're gonna have to figure out how to build a roster to beat them (much like they have been doing to us).
it's football man, s**t changes year to year a ton.

Even though I'm calling for his firing, it's not that I don't think he's good. It's that he's set is his ways and won't adjust. He won't play rookies unless he really has to. Once he likes a player, he won't ever bench them. No matter how bad they play. Overthinks in big moments and won't make risky calls. Runs a player into the ground like CMC.

Agreed.
Run the ball better, stop the run, don't have major special teams gaffes… that's a close game even without having stars everywhere. We're not far away from being able to do those things.

100% accurate. Shanahan was only missing kittle on offense. The major injuries last night was on defense. The offensive performance was abysmal. it had nothing to do with injuries and everything to do with scheme. You're not going to tell me the return of kittle would have changed that offense yesterday. Just ugly.
I think it had something to do with injuries and an overall lack of talent, lol. This team is talent thin at the skill positions and we were one dimensional.
When it's a beatdown like that everything is an issue.
Lost the best TE in football, Ricky P is basically a decoy, CMC running on fumes and handed them 7PTs as soon as the game started….we were short handed all yr to begin with.
anyone saying injuries didn't play a part is a liar and has alternative motives to prove a point. Anyone that's reasonable knows we didn't have the horses this yr and made it farther than we all thought
