49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan Thread

They need to get a true WR1.

They need to go back to being a fast and physical defense. Warner and Bosa back will help. We need a big free safety with closing speed. Mykel, Collins, and West will do well with some additional depth through draft and FA.

CMC needs to be used differently. I hope James can get a decent share of the workload.

I hope they realize this OL will compete against average and bad defensive lines but they'll get owned by the elite groups. This year we couldn't even run the ball. I hope that will at least have ShanaLynch thinking of how to improve this unit.

They had Aiyuk, passed on McConkey and drafted Pearsall. Shows how much they know what they are doing.

The coaching staff gets an A+ and the front office gets an F- I've never in my life seen so much wasted payroll. Over 110 in dead money. How many worthless contracts has this front office handed out. Javon Hargraves,Brandon Aiyuk,Leonard Floyd,Gross Matos, etc. I won't even get into their drafts.

The problem I see is we can't discern where the FO stops and the coaching staff starts in terms of roster building. Lots of opinions flying around regarding who has final say on personnel, and that makes it hard to correct this issue...because I agree, Shanny generally gets it done on game days, but whoever is controlling the roster is way out of their depth.

They are awful at player personnel. Bottom 3 in the league. At least that bad.

I take issue with some of their personnel decisions for sure, but bottom 3 is such a horrible take, lol.
Imagine this year without CMC, it would have been as disaster like last year. Kyle needs to find his next elite playmaker on offense, either through the draft or via trade. Can't count on CMC being this healthy next season!

Aiyuk f**ked this team over. They obviously had no idea this guy didn't not care about football. I'm sure they would've moved on from him if they knew.

Pearsall is not the guy, but he can be a solid #2 if healthy. Even McConkey is not a true 1. The Chargers' offense needs exactly what we need. OL and a go-to WR threat.
watch Kyle's post game presser. He is in denial. Tries to say the team played good in the first half.

He is lost. He will never win a SB. Time to move on.

He also said they were outplayed and outcoached.

No TDs in 2 season defining losses to Seattle.

That's not an offensive genius. That's just offensive.

Lol the 4th and 1 was offensive. We were down, I think two scores but the genius 4th and 1 move made it three. And it was all down hill lol.

I think Seahawks beat the Rams at this point but idk. Sure ain't winning against the Pats though.
Geez, Mike McDonald owning Kyle feels like the beginning of Pete Carroll just owning harbaugh. Maybe the Seahawks winning a Super Bowl on our f'in field will light a fire under Jed's ass
Shanahan's scheme ia based on dictating what the defense does. Macdonald's scheme counters this by dictating what the offense does. Don't think Shanahan will be able to get the better of Macdonald very much.

It sure does feel that way but there is no better option to replace Shanahan. No other coach would do what Shanahan did with this amount of injuries.
