49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan Thread

Real bad week for the Kyle haters club. I expect them to be out on full force if the 49ers can't get it done this week

End of the day, the Kyle haters would have been out in force if we lost this, and will be the next time we lose.

To them nothing has changed. It's fine to have a Superbowl standard, a lot of us here would just like some context and realism.

The job Kyle has done with this team this year is remarkable already, no matter what happens from here on out. I feel sorry for anyone who can't see that.

Those dudes are constantly living in the past. Refusing to see what is unfolding before our eyes in the here and now.

Its like the 45+ year old in the stands wearing the tattered letterman jacket talking about the team in their day.

With his 9th playoff win on Sunday, Shanahan has now passed his dad and tied John Madden, Tony Dungy, Paul Brown, Jimmy Johnson, Vince Lombardi for most playoff wins in NFL history.

That's my HC!

Not sure why you guys keep saying this and fanning the flames. From what I can tell their argument is Kyle cant win the SB and this past Sunday was not that. They dont care about NFCCG appearances or SB appearances. They want a SB win. So until that happens calling out the "haters club" does nothing.

Living in absolutes is stupid and petty….you can acknowledge someone is f**king good what they do regardless if they didn't luck into a SB once in their careers (or whatever job you want to apply it to).

It's like saying I'm not successful because I'm not jeff bezos. Dan Marino wasn't a great HOF QB because he didn't win a SB. Barkley, Malone, Baylor, Ewing etc weren't great HOF NBA players because they didn't win it all.

f**k yes, I'm gonna toss out the massive amounts of analysis, players and media that believe Kyle is in fact a damn good HC in this league. No one is saying he's Walsh or BB, but crying about firing him is a joke. You're not a serious person with that take. Clinging on to win a SB or you suck narrative is such logical fallacy and I don't accept those terms, especially when they don't apply context and are straight up hypocritical about all of it.

I completely agree with you. All I'm saying is...saying real bad week for the haters club is pointless. Their argument is a SB not a playoff win.

Then their argument is not serious and never was.
I just dnt want him to choke against SEA, he shouldn't but idk. We got manhandled offensively. We should still have Trent though..and Ricky f**king P..is he getting his ass on the field?? Lol

You know they will be and no amount of common sense from us or guys in the media or other teams will influence them.

Thats why the posts seem like trolling rather than real discussion topics. I can't wrap my head around being that oblivious to logic and reason.

It's hyperbole. Nobody is signing a lifetime deal lol

Define choke? I can guarantee you we'll be underdogs the whole week heading into the game and few "experts" will pick us to win.

They're almost fully healthy and clearly well rested and playing at home. So what constitutes a choke with those expectations?

I completely agree with this too. Cant believe it lasted as long as it did If I'm being honest

The way I view fans who hate on Kyle is that they just don't understand the overall game of football. I get that he hasn't won it all but that's an extremely hard thing to do that requires a lot to go right, including luck.

Kyle is great and I'm glad we have him. This year has been a masterclass on his part. I hope we can keep shocking the world.
