Ok mister Dilfer is better than Marino. If I valued your opinions you saying I have a loser mentality might actually sting. But since your opinion is that of Dilfer being better than Marino I can now hold your opinion with the same as the crack head on the corner. Thanks hope you start watching football with your eyes not just looking at the W/L column

What matters more:

Championships or stats?

Championships. Doesn't mean winning one makes a player better. Are you really that dense?

Absolutely it does.

If Marino is so much better then why didn't he win?

No-one cares about losers. Except you.

Lmao Marino didn't win because the Dolphins were and still are an awful organization. No better example of a franchise wasting a generational talent. 1984 was their only shot, too bad they were going against the greatest team of the decade.

We're saying he's the consensus best coach to never win a SB? Are we for real here?

He's a hell of a lot closer to dak Prescott than Dan Marino in my book.

Dak Prescott played in Superbowls?

Of course he isnt. It would require intellectual honesty.

It's not comparing Kyle to anyone it's the thought process that winning a SB makes you better than anyone else that has never won it…you know Nick Foles is better than Marino or Drue Tranquill being better than Wills or Kuechly. It's a f**king stupid way to make final decision on who's better than who or who sucks and who doesn't.

and last I checked Dak hasn't played in NFCCs and SBs.

The guys point is so stupid it's barely worth responding to… seriously at least.

It takes multiple ingredients to win a SB. A Marino-level QB would obviously qualify as one.

Dudes in here would straight faced they would start a franchise with Trent Dilfer over Dan Marino rather than admit what they said was wrong.

Of course you take Marino if nothing was known. But knowing what we know who do you take?

Would you take all of Marino's stats but no Championships or Dilfer's average career but one SB?

I guess you have to decide what makes a successful career. Championships or stats.

No one can seriously be this dense.

That's the thing. 98% of the people on here know how ridiculous they are and yet...they're still here with the same tired narratives.

To them they're right until Shanahan wins a SB here which they'd apparently be happy about. Maybe it's some sick defense mechanism. This way they get to celebrate Kyle losing games and wining them.

Oh yes, the same old narrative that we aren't true 49er fans if we don't blindly follow everything our team does. What other mammal does that sound like? Oh ya, sheep.

You either praise Shanahan and bow at his feet or you aren't a true 49er fan. We get it. That's how you try to end an argument. "Agree with me or you're not a true 49er fan"

The real defense mechanism is at the end of the day at least we "made it to two Superbowls" right?

Yeah none of that is what my post claimed. You expect perfection out of the coaches and front office but you can't even read a post properly on a forum. Maybe save the NFL team building for people more qualified than you.

What I said has nothing to do with 49ers fandom. It's simple logic and ability to understand the sport outside of the basics.

Ask other fans who they believe are better coaches between Shanahan, McCarthy and Doug Pederson and 98% who don't do their thinking off box scores only will say Shanahan.

What this Sask guy has been saying today has to be one of the dumbest things I've ever read. And not just on the WZ, or NFL talk, but in my entire existence. It's actually quiet impressive to say something so absolutely stupid.

Andy (everyone's favorite HC in here) really got into his bag this yr when Mahomes went down, huh? Avg 12.5 pts per game and went 0-4.

He shoots he scores.

I kind of ignored that situation considering I've been too busy following our injury issues but this is a great point and for most it would be a reminder that coaches as great as they can be don't move without some of these guys in place.

What exactly was Andy's problem this year? Not like he was doing great with Pat playing either. Almost like these guys can't pull magic out of their ass whenever they want huh?

God knows we've got some people in here thinking Andy Reid has plays lined up for whenever he wants that can't be defended…

Shanahan with a starting QB has never gotten completely outclassed in the post season. We'll see what happens Sunday cuz we are beat to hell on defense and who knows who will play on offense but Kyle has done his job for the most part.
From a play calling perspective, Kyle has had one of his best seasons way I see it. Last year I thought was his worst, mainly because it was still so deebo centric when Deebo was so obviously over the hill. The reason why we are likely one and done in the playoffs this year is because of injuries and the lean drafts that resulted from the Trey Lance trade coming back to haunt us in the form of poor depth at key positions on defense and the O Line being as mediocre as it is.

Oh cool so you admit Marino is the better player and it takes a team to win a championship. I'm glad I could help you understand football 101. Next week we will be discussing how a teams performance can be impacted by its best players being injured. Should be a doozy

This guy don't know ball.

This guy has a loser mentality and is fine with coming in 2nd place

Once again…stop claiming things that nobody said.

You made an absolutely ridiculous point when faced with a clear analogy of Marino vs Dilfer and said you believe Dilfer is better because he won.

Someone replying to that with you don't know ball is spot on. Nobody in their right mind would make that statement even when pushing the SB above all else.

EVERYONE here wants the SB. Nobody here has celebrated 2nd place. Nobody here has been happy with 2nd place.

People are allowed to enjoy a season where the team wins more than most teams. You and others need to end that absurd response unless you can actually find a poster here who is excited we lost the SB or earlier in the playoffs.
