49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan Thread

I have absolutely no problem acknowledging that Kyle's coaching has been nothing short of amazing, particularly after the bye.

If we actually end up winning the Super Bowl, there's a slim chance it'll happen, I'll go out on a limb and call it probably the greatest coaching performance ever.

We're still a long way from there thou.

Slim chance any team wins a SB on any given year…At least a 3rd of the league doesn't even sniff that opportunity year after year. Yet we find ourselves in that convo most seasons. Wonder why 🤔

The vote should come down to Kyle and Vrabel (I know thats what the odds say too). But this is how it should have been for a month now. But Kyle has been below most of these candidates all season long.
Wait wait I thought we all agreed Saleh was the team's real MVP, at least to start the season? :)

CMC and Special Teams has been the only constant. But everyone has stepped up and carried the team at various points in the season.
Kyle would have gotten roasted if he did this

Hey man I love Kyle but time management isn't his strongest attribute either.

I think that's an issue across the board though. No HC is 100% amazing there. Folks refuse to acknowledge that and think it's just Kyle, which is completely false.

Kyle has unrealistic expectations for them and folks won't apply those same expectations to all the other HCs in the NFL

and I know he's not perfect and has his own issues, but folks never apply the stuff they "hate" about Kyle to any other HC. That's why I call out these fans. Hypocrites all of them lol

Kyle will never get the COY trophy. It's gonna be Vrabel or Liam Coen. Remember when Brian Daboll got the trophy three years ago. You know the season Kyle had to use three different QBs and finished 13-4 with a rookie QB leading the offense. It's always the same. They give the trophy to the Coach that turned his team from worst to best.

I think Kyle could benefit from the vote being split. Ben Johnson, Vrabel, Liam Coen are all first year coaches that took a team from worst to first. The case for Kyle is more unique and thus might stand out a little more.

And still didn't give it to him in 2019 when he took a 4-12 team to 13-3.

Must just have a thing against him.

I'll be shocked if he gets it

They should've given it to him in 2019 too. No expectations to be good, went on to dominate nearly every opponent they played, won some dramatic games at the end to get the 1 seed, and even when they did lose, it was always at the very end. They gave it to John Harbaugh who had the league MVP that year, I believe John even admitted that Kyle deserved it over him.

Yeah Kyle deserves it even more this year because of all the snubs the previous years. But I doubt they will give it to him.
