He HAS to be the unanimous COY!

Even I don't know who some our guys are and I've been watching this team for decades! No high profile free agent players signed, lost a few good ones and we are straight up in the mix.

I keep hearing the excuses for the lions with injuries, but who expected us to have a top 5 pick after Bosa and Warner went down, Kittle and JJ went down, Purdy went down… 🤚

Not saying he doesn't deserve. Definitely should be in the conversation over some of these other coaches I've seen this year . Just like in 2019 when nobody expected the Niners to be good and they dominated all the way to the 1 seed, or in 2022 when Brian Daboll of all people won it over him after Shanahan needed to use all of his 3 QBs, and still had an elite season when mostly every other teams seasons would've ended there. And this year where despite all the injuries and adversity the team faced all year, they're 2 wins away from the 1 seed, yet to some, he's not even in the discussion …..IF the Niners and Shanahan can against all odds win a Super Bowl, I wouldn't give a f about a regular season award

He'll be considered but there are alot of good coaching jobs this season. I think they'll give it to Ben Johnson as the bears have been putrid going on a decade before this season.

Which shows how bad the previous coaches were, not so much how good Johnson is. Kyle and Vrabel have done far more with less.

Shanahan up to the 2nd spot at +200. DK has Shanahan and Macdonald tied for 2nd at +330.

Can't wait for the 2025 Coach of the Year banner ceremony at Levi's next year.

He should wear it to Rams media day next year when he's working.

Usual suspects pounding sand right now.

Impact injuries all over the place including 2 potential future HOFers and our two best players on defense out for the season since week 3/6 and our first round pick joining them week 9 and we've clinched a playoff berth with 3 games to play.

Now let's do our part and keep the win streak going.

Warner has already punched his ticket to Canton, but I'm not so sure Bosa will make it. I love the guy to death, and he's been as solid a player as you can ask for, but it it feels like he's dropping off. Definitely looked like a future HOFer his rookie season, but I've been less than impressed since he signed his big deal.

Why I said potential.

However sack totals aren't always indicative of great edge play. Look at what's happened to our pass rush since Bosa was injured.

4 sacks with Nick healthy all game in 2 games.
13 sacks without Nick 12 games.

And of course that doesn't include the pressures or the overall impact on the backend his presence had.

IIRC, Bosa had the second highest pressure rate before his injury.

Pressures are very important as they cause INTs. Can't overlook that aspect.

Interesting. I saw a few weeks ago that he wasn't even in the discussion. Nice to see that's changed

It's baffling that BJ isn't #1. There wasn't a single person that thought the Bears would be where they are.

He recently admitted that he wants to jump on the Niners bandwagon as long as we stop messing with him

Kyle's offense is peaking at the perfect time. It's probably a top-2 unit among playoffs teams right now. Credit to him.

The defense, on the other hand, is a massive Achilles' heel and will prevent the team from winning it all.
