being one of the best and most innovative OCs in the NFL for a few years is usually how you get hired as a HC. your spin doesn't really fly when there's a resume.

yeah, his innovation someday will be recognize for having the most 2nd place trophies ever by a HC.

Sometimes you're just unfortunate enough to face one of the best teams of the era when you reach that final game. Neither of thise Bengal teams Walsh beat wewrte great. They didn't repeat year after year like the Chiefs. Same for the Dolphins. Never made it back to the SB.Then you have a great team like the Bills were in the erly 90s. Four straight SBs but each time the NFC was just a little better. Does that mean Marv Levy sucked.

Do you think Bills fan celebrate Marv Levy like we do Kyle Shanahan. Levy's 4 SB losses is a considered a blot in that franchise's history. Meanwhile the newbie fan around here can't get over how successful Kyle has been with all those NFCC and SB losses beefing up his resume.

Yep you have to get at least 1 Superbowl to be remembered fondly. Even if you are 1-5 in Superbowls because you at least have 1 year to look fondly back on.

Hmmm Marv Levy is pretty well regarded and respected by analysts and fans alike. I'm sure Bills fans are super sad they lost 4 straight, but don't regret hiring him. There's a lot of happiness even during losing seasons sometimes.

Take this year for example. I'm super happy today....at this very moment. The Niners gave me a lot of hell yeas this year. It has not been a miserable season. I don't think we're good enough for a SB because of the injuries, but I can still feel joy in the moment. Maybe the Niners can capture lightning in a bottle and win it all. Who knows. But I won't be miserable and be a pout pout fish like some of our fans here who simply cannot enjoy life

Absolutely Bills fans look back on that era fondly. Especially since they had 2 decades wandering in darkness.

The lengths you Kyle fans will go to prop him up.

Did the Bengals choke twice?

Talent wasn't an issue in the least bit in 2012. I can show you several coaching based problems from that game starting with literally the first play of the game, just like I can show you the numerous plays in those subsequent SBs where Shanahan had the team in positions to win the game but the players didn't execute as designed.

Can you do the same? Nope you just mumble something about Kyle being 0-2 and being responsible for everything.

9ers had the potential game winning play and Harbaugh couldn't get the damn thing in on time. There is nothing Kyle did in either game as egregious as that.

Show me anything like this about Shanahan

https://www.pennlive.com/davidjones/2013/02/super_bowl_ravens_49ers_jim_ha.html

https://nesn.com/2013/02/jim-harbaughs-play-calling-lacked-creativity-which-led-to-49ers-late-game-letdown/

To get into first and goal situation with that OL, that 2 TE set and a RB like Frank Gore and not to actually score there is an actual coaching choke job. Terrible design that limits your options and doesn't play up to your strengths or takes advantage of the other team's weaknesses.

The one play that could've done that and Harbaugh calls the timeout cuz his philosophy calls for last second snaps of the football.

Meanwhile Shanahan has QBs missing wide open looks in the SB and gets blame or the backup guard decides to not block his assignment(only the other team's best DLman) on a play where two guys are open for easy TDs.

And the usual suspects are in here acting like Kyle choked but Harbaugh just s**ts excellence.

ONE thing's for sure, both Jimmy and Shanny are part of the reasons why we now have the giant size L in the Super Bowl !!
Giant size "L"? Is that big like, oh, I don't know, as big as that Buffalo L? Or that Minnesota L? Let's just ignore the FIVE SB wins we've feathered our nest with...

He prefers coaches that can't beat Northwestern
It's interesting to see the change in the definition of loser/losing from its original to current definition. Getting to the Super Bowl and not winning is now considered a losing season by some. Interesting. Sad. Privileged.

9ers and Raiders are having the exact same season. One that doesn't likely end in a SB.

Being an non-contender is much worse than being a Conference Champion. Levy is the best coach Buffalo has had.

McDermott has been there 7 seasons without a SB appearance.

Sometimes its better to just enjoy the Journey instead of stressing over the destination.
Shanahan addressed what Watkins still needs to show to earn more playing time.

"Jordan needs to show out on the practice field that he is better than the guys in front of him," Shanahan said. "And it's really tough with these guys when they've missed so much time, but he's been out here for a little bit, getting back in shape, and doing a good job in practice.

"But we're going to play the top guys, and he's still working to show that he's one of those."

See I don't agree with this... like he's a different type of reciever than the others. Bourne is like Jennings, Pearsall is like Aiyuk.... Watkins is a burner. Use him for big plays... see what that can bring to the offense. You might find something new that you can bring to the playoffs, ESPECIALLY when defenses there will be waiting for the same o'l same o'l from Kyle.

This is the time to find out. I swear we are going to be in a position in the Playoffs where we are in a tough game and need one of our recievers to beat someone down field and you'll see the ball in the air to a covered Bourne, Robinson, or Jennings. Wondering why there's no seperation.

Find out in real games if Watkins has the route running ability to get a step on DBs, and if he can also use his speed to really get seperation. Or use him for screens. If he hasn't shown s**t in practice, why the f**k couldn't they see that s**t pre draft before selecting? Workouts, etc.

It's not about "injury" anymore with Watikins..and IMO it hasn't been for a while. Kyle just doing his Kyle s**t.

The same was said here (maybe by you with an older username) about Mike Nolan... about Dingleberry.. and Erickson... about Tomsula.

Yeah Kyle knew to recieve in OT at the Super Bowl right? He's so smart and perfect right? Forcing Jimmy G upon us until he lucked into Brock. Would have Kirk Cousins over as well, if he had it his way.

Yall are giving more energy to call out Kyle's BS, thank you.

I've only had 1 account I'm not like these trolls that are scared to have a bad opinion so they make an alt account to put it out there. You seem mad one of the best youngish coaches in the NFL coaches the team you root for. I'm sorry Kyle has made a few mistakes and isn't perfect. Unfortunately it's just you who's perfect.
