LOL - doesn't that mean HE sucks overall?

it also SUCKS because we've had the teams that should be a contender... but our HC's Madden Video Game Style play calling over and over continues to hurt the team...

Two of Kyle's teams were contenders or did you forget. He lost his starting QB for the season twice and to nobody's surprise the team suffered. Just because the press or the fans think a team is a SB contender doesn't mean everything will fall into place and the team will have a good season.

These slow starts to the season Is what's preventing us from winning the division, and unless win some how find a way to beat the Rams on Monday night ( which I think we will ) expect McVay and the Rams to go on and win the NFC West again once again.

I agree. This pattern originates from Shanahan's philosophy of practice and minimal preseason. You get poor play at the start of the season. He has to learn how to win with each team. For awhile it was "get the ball to Kittle", then "get the ball to Mostert", then "get the ball to Deebo", so now we'll see how it changes.

Assessing Shanahan as a coach, he's a mixed bag. He has an excellent offense system, coaching tree, play design and sequence, status within the league. He's a piss-poor play caller in the clutch, he has very poor record on injuries, very poor record on drafting/developing QBs.

Hopefully it goes that route with him. What we saw on Sunday was disgusting imo. It was a lot of the same mistakes that a lot of people have been pointing out for years now as well. I do expect him to be better than that, if not we're in even more trouble.

we need at the very least a game manger out of Jimmy and didn't get anything close to that.

The Rams are a injury away from being bad. They've invested so much in their starters and have nothing as far as depth goes. It's a long football season my dude

Man, Greg Papa had some great points on a podcast recently regarding Kyle's scheme and running philosophy.

He said:

• 9ers lead the world in first down runs (65%) which is leading to a ton of 2nd and 3rd and longs. League at 47%
• The 2nd and 3rd and longs are a direct result of getting poor run results on first downs (in part, because of that predictability). Average is 8 yards on 3rd downs
• Poor first down production = defense not affected by PA anymore
• Jimmy showed when he passed on first downs, they got more production minus two runs last game on first down
• Defenses are keyed in on Deebo from the backfield; on passing routes,, they are using using slot CB's on him instead of LB's
• "We gotta stop the run." ~ every defense ever against Kyle

Kyle seems to be more concerned about getting himself into a play calling rhythm than doing what it takes to get his QB in rhythm first (not an easy task either).

Side note: With Whitworth and their IOL issues, Stafford now has more INT's than TD's per Papa. Odd.

Bobby Wagner will have the 🐏 defense flood the middle of the field in the passing game and try to stuff our first down runs again. He said we exploited their LB so bad in the NFCCG, he got benched. Insert Wagner now.
