49ers fans who wanna crucify Lynch for not just coughing up 2x 1st round picks for Garrett Wilson need this stuffed in their face over and over. I think Wilson is a great player and 1st rd pick makes sense, maybe even 1st + 3rd/4th, but if you trade multiple 1st round picks and it blows up in your face, it sets the franchise back years. Oh, and fans don't have to worry about getting fired from their multi-million dollar job if it doesn't work. GM's do.
The rams are currently the #9 seed in playoff standings. I think you underestimate how crappy the bottom of NFC is.
The Rams currently have a 50/50 shot to make the playoffs according to Vegas.
The problem for them is the NFC North is so stacked that they basically have to place well within the NFC West, but they've already lost to us and the Cardinals.
What the Rams have going for them is they have a fairly soft schedule until their bye, have a critical chance against Green Bay and still get two cracks at Seattle to end their season. If they win their next three (including Green Bay) and at least split with Seattle they still have a path.
