He's better than what we have now but my point is he's not an elite difference maker anymore. Just too many injuries. Plus you can't count on him to stay healthy. People are talking about him returning and being the guy that was DPOY in 2022. He's not playing like that anymore.

Nah he was playing real well….we would have won yesterday if Bosa plays. He consistently f**ks up plays which imo matters more than a a random sack.

I just don't know how healthy he will be ROS.

Your definition of real well is different from mine I guess. He's been good in spots but not the big disrupter you need from that position. The problem I have with just gettring pressure is too many QBs now are able to get away from pressure and make big plays. Purdy actually makes some of his biggest plays when he gets pressured and is forced out of the pocket. Defenses sometmes lose coverage when they see a QB scramble. Sacks are always better than pressures.

Either that means we're definitely trading for him, or the Colts are trying hard to sell him to us specifically (or use us as leverage with other teams). Because it's not a coincidence now that both Schefter and Ian Rap are blowing the same exact smoke.

Bears are in win now mode. We need to be the same.

Bears look like a real possibility for Josh Sweat.

Bears going to make several trades while the 49ers most likely trade is for Jack Squat.

Bears will probably end up with Mack. I full expect SF to be aggressive and end up with a move or two.

Could use another DB as well after yesterdays game. Some one good in a nickel defense.

More Buck to SF talk

Please make this happen! As good as Osa and Halton have been Buck is on a different level and you can see our DL kind of flatlining the last two weeks. Adding Buck and Bosa to this DL would be insane.

You're assuming Bosa is going to be the player he was. We haven't seen how he'll be since that surgery. He may be just average. He wasn't exactly terrorizing offenses before he was injured last season. We also need to worry about some part of his body falling off.

Bosa looked incredible at the beginning of the season

You are looking at numbers and not the film. The first two weeks he was putting constant pressure on the QB's. He was a problem for Stafford and a huge reason they won that game.
No way the Cardinals trade us Sweat right? Like not even worth thinking about?

Like I said players that are mobile can rollout and make plays when pressured. Stafford is one of thr most stationary QBs in the league. Bosa still only had one QB hit against that statue.

I know it sounds like I'm anti Bosa. I'm not. I just don't see him as a difference maker anymore and he certainly can't be counted on with his injury history. Anything we get from him is a bonus. Unfortunately they don't have any other edge rushers at this point that can take over a game.

Exactly. We need guys who can get home. When was the last time we had a sack and forced fumble?

we need MORE pass rusher... and we need to get rid of our Secondary Coach... Can't the FOOL teach his DBs to not touch the pass catchers?

Not that it matters but the Bears have $8m in available cap. We have $42m

He's consistently winning his reps and getting pressure. I value that more than getting one random sack.

When you force a QB to abandon the play call because of the pressure, that's when good things happen most of the time on D. I'll take forcing a QB to play backyard football all game vs watching a below avg QB like Penix sit in the pocket and look like Tom Brady.

He looked awesome week 1 and he is absolutely still a major disruptor
