I think the baseline would be the Quinnen Williams trade, but more than that, and that was a first, second, and Mazi Smith, (a starting player)

I don't see why the Titans would want Mac Jones. I love Mac, but 49er fans exaggerate his value. He's viewed around the league as a high end back- up QB; we didn't get a single offer for him during the draft last spring. That could change if he signs a prove it deal in FA, and plays very well, but right now, he's still a backup.

Mac's trade value is probably around a 3rd round pick, give or take, and the 49ers value him way more than that as insurance for Brock.

If a starting QB goes down on a contender, maybe that changes, but the 49ers are not trading Mac.
They would trade him for the right player. Our third is a solid back up and maybe even more.
Id actually love to see us trade for a stud TE - whether that's Goedhrt in Philly, Pitts in ATL, or La Porta in Detroit. I'd say La porta is worth a first and we would have to resign him. I always wanted to see a stud TE2 while Kittle was still in his prime. Would add a great dynamic to our offense
Bring me Garrett Wilson and I'll never say another bad word about you again John.

After that move, who sits once everyone is healthy?

This right here.

But since Simmons is the much better player than Williams you change that 2nd to another 1st and Mazi Smith to a starter and then Tenn listens. Mac Jones is not that guy. Shanahan's system has turned Mac into a decent backup. He's not a top 25 starter.

I'd be real tempted to offer Bosa and a 1st for Simmons and a 3rd and then a 4th for Khalil Mack. I think there's a strong possibility we could cut Bosa next year and save 35 mil in cap space. Bosa just cannot be counted on to stay healthy and his cap hit is massive for the next two years. Trade Collins and West for whatever we can get in the offseason.

It's a crazy thought but it makes us better IMO. Extend Keion White and look to add another edge in a strong draft next year.

DE- White / Mack
DT- Simmons / Valdez
DT- Osa / Halton
DT- Mykel / Height

I like the looks of that.

With us over the past two years everyone is never healthy at the same time.

If the 49ers traded Bosa now they'd only save about $5.53m in 2027 since they'd take on a $49,218,967 dead money hit in 2027

Yes, it's unrealistic but not out of the realm of possibility we move on from him after the season.

This offseason is probably the time to trade him post June 1st for the 35 mil savings correct?

Bosa is currently hurt, coming off an ACL (his third), with a cap hit of $55m next season

he has ZERO trade value right now

and probably not much more after the season

LaPorta is reportedly available because he wants/needs a new contract
we can't afford two high-end TE contracts
also LaPorta is definitely not worth a 1st, that would be a horrible use of our '27 1st in what could be a historic draft class

Goedert is more realistic, but is currently banged up, and isn't a great run blocker -- I can't see Shanahan trading for a #2 TE who isn't great at run blocking

Tyler Warren is the guy if you're gonna go big at TE
3 years left on his rookie contract
the question is how much does IND want for him?

I still wouldn't give up a 1st for him

Bosa right now seems a lot more injured than what we fans were told. So yah, no trade value right now.

Quenton Nelson really makes the most sense.

I think I'm in this train also,.... we don't need a pass-rusher,.... the last 2 games, against Was and Seattle, we were top3 in pressures with 29 and 23,... and 5 sacks each game (I think),... and all this without Bosa who will be back after the bye

similar with the WRs,... Robinson, Deebo, Evans and Stribling will be back at some stage after the bye,... we need a punt returner but this could be already in the building (Jordan James or one of the PS WRs)

what woukd be Nelson's price?... a 3rd+a player?.... a 2nd?
I would do it,... the most dangerous part of the DL from the strongest rivals (like Seattle or KC) comes from the interior,... protect Purdy and makethe running game unstoppable

add A'Shawn Robinson from Tampa for a 3rd day pick to improve the run defense which will be crucial in the playoffs

Indy isn't trading a young core piece like warren imo.
