If the Chargers lose to the Chiefs tomorrow, their season is over and even they know it. There is no coming back from 0-6 with their remaining schedule. They would have to finish at least 9-2 just to MAYBE get the 7 seed and we've already seen what the 7 seed does for them.
This report is just a bait to keep their leverage and say they still believe in their team to beat the Chiefs tomorrow. But once they lose all bets are off.

If they fall to 0-6, things may change. 👀 pic.twitter.com/6GglXZoCNW
This is like them saying "We're not 0-5, but actually have a winning record."
No one believes this... lol...

I'd be very happy with Smith for a 4th or a 5th...that's a good name
still on his rookie contract - under contract for next year, still has upside (25), super fast, would be a great 3rd down rusher
Hurts, Barkley out, 3 game losing streak - if Philly loses to Carolina tomorrow, they could definitely be sellers

If you can trade Mac Jones for good draft capital, I'm game.![]()
I wouldn't, see all of the injured QB's in the NFL this season.
Keep the insurance policy, the draft picks won't help right now.
Agree, my gut says they will keep Mac. However, for me if there is an offer for 2 day two picks or a day two and several day three picks - i would take it. But thats me, because I'm so confident in their ability to hit on day two and day three picks (so long as Raheem is still on the team) like they have the last two plus drafts.
P.s. there's a guy on the practice squad right now named Eugene Asante, he's built like the perfect Linebacker/Safety that I think Raheem is eyeing to potentially play the John Lynch/Nick Emmanwori role in his defense. In the best case scenario he develops into a role player in this years post season, or perhaps be on the 53 man in 2027. Hope one of our guys (maybe Kruger) can interview him and find out more about him.

You want to bet our year on that crew?
What info have you gotten that Stribling won't be back?
Deebo will be back. Evans will heal up and has played through this injury. He's tough as nails. Kirk is a solid slot receiver and might be an upgrade over Cowing at PR.
Im all for adding a starting WR but they aren't available. Who do you suggest we trade for who will come in and make an impact?

Honestly, I think he can have belief that the last three number 1 picks are good. They are just all hurt unfortunately. This isn't like hoping for Thomas, Kinlaw, or Lance will come around. Both Ricky Pearsall and Mykel Williams have shown measurable impact that people can be hopeful about them. Stribling hasn't done it yet but we haven't seen or heard anything that should make us think he can't.

I was never considering the London's or anyone in that tier. I agree on JJ and its not a minor move. He would fit like a glove and eclipses his 2026 production in one game here lol. Even if he is WR6 when everyone is healthy, he is a WR6 that can contribute in any game immediately. JJ and Mac are the obvious moves.
I don't even seen him as WR6. He played over Robinson/Watkins/cowing last year. He's a better WR than Deebo at this pt. Strib I have no clue about. Kid hasn't played.
Just seems to make sense. Fans will hate it, like they do most years…only to realize it turned into a decent helpful midseason trade lol.
JJ had more experience than Robinson who was brand new last year. This year, he's over Watkins, but idk about Robinson. Definitely better than Deebo. I THINK Stribling is better but we have no proof. My WR6 comment was basically about if he ends up as WR6 with everyone healthy, we are far better off than our current situation. What I like is the spacing that will be made for guys like Jennings and Deebo with everyone healthy.

Gotcha…just makes sense. JJ and a pass rusher and we're cooking imo.

the hurts situation is interesting, wonder if eagles trade for a qb like Mac jones. I doubt they will, or that we would do that business without it being super advantageous to us, but that dynamic is interesting.
This trade deadline is going to be really interesting. I hope we make some great moves to bolster our team. Then we heal up down the stretch and start B slappin everyone.
odds are we will play rams/Seattle in the playoffs, I hate that, but let's break their hearts.

It just gets tricky down the stretch when everyone is healthy
- Evans
- strib
- robinson
- Deebo
- Cooks
- Kirk
- Watkins
- Cowing
- JJ
When all are healthy, and that's a big IF (based on our recent history lol), whose spot would JJ take?
Kirk? cooks? They haven't done much cause of how things are but I think they could really help and add speed/veteran leadership. Especially once cooks is acclimated - so second half of the year he could be cookin.
im not anti JJ and it would be nice right now but idk how that would go later in the year. Overall, a good problem to have.

We haven't had one with the size/speed combination of Stribling. We've had small speedy guys or big slow guys for the most part.

Do you root for this team or are you one of those guys that try to "temper the fan base's expectations" because you don't want us to get our feelings hurt if this team that happens to be 5-0 don't do what Vegas expects they'll do?

The 49er Dr Pepper fan club can be a bit much.
