Lucked into Shanahan but Lynch as a GM? Wtf?? So many qualified GMs 49ers interviewed...and in the end - they decided to hire a guy who has ZERO experience working in a NFL Front Office. He has ZERO experience as a scout at any level. I understand, so many potential GM candidates rejected 49ers. But, to hire a guy who has never held a position that is in no way related to a day-2-day job profile of a GM is unbelievable. I'm sure Lynch is a smart guy...he was a smart player...but that has NOTHING to do with being a GM. Why take the risk at this time? --------------- edit: After having some time to digest this news...wish him all the best and I hope he proves ppl wrong. Still don't understand why we needed to take such a risk but it is what it is now. I do have to say - his first presser made a positive impression.

i dont think character is the issue we hired robinson after his dui also we see antonio helped tampa win before he went nuts, but tampa still has that trophy, i agree i dont like hill but to win the next ring esp if it's against kc and we beat them with hill that would really stick it to kc fans

This is new so no he hasn't been punished. But if we do sign him, I'm sure Goodell will exempt him

Mack & Bosa as bookends rushing the passer would be a huge problem for teams & would take this D-line to another level.

Mack & Bosa as bookends rushing the passer would be a huge problem for teams & would take this D-line to another level.

I haven't heard that the Chargers are actually looking to trade Mack. It's all speculation based on their poor start. If they continue to flounder we might see some action on that front in a couple more weeks. The play the Broncos and Chiefs the next 2 weeks. Then they have a bye. It they're 0-6 at the bye Lynch should be on phone. He may have already had talks with the Chargers.

They would need to trade for him. If LAC is open to trading I do hope JL calls. Would be a tremendous waste if he doesn't.

Don't worry he is actively looking for the next street scrub to sign. People expecting a needle mover will be disappointed. He wants to save those picks for the next Hurd, foster Latu, moody. Maybe even a Javon kinlaw, Solomon Thomas or our next franchise qb Trey Lance II…
