32 years since our last championship and lynch has been involved in 10 years of that drought. He also managed what is described as the worst nfl trade in the last decade for the trey lance debacle.

Trey Lance trade was bad. But no. It was not the worst trade in the last decade. The two future 1sts became #29 overall. There are far worse trades than that. Deshaun Watson and Russell Wilson were both worse.

If the Dolphins had become a contender (or at least won their first playoff game since the Twin Towers were still standing), or one of those future 1sts became a premium pick (or even a top 20 pick), or we were still looking for a QB (or simply didn't end up with a franchise QB anyway), maybe you would have a point. But none of those happened.

I know how you will respond. "bUt wE dIdNt wIn SUPER BOWL!!!" Okay. That doesn't make this the worst trade of the last decade. Not even close.

Yea, the Watson trade is worse, because not only did they give up picks they also gave him a fully guaranteed contract.

Who said anything about firing him?

Why can't we criticize these guys without you all getting butt hurt?

Sounds like those criticizing are the ones that are butt hurt.

Nope. I'm not butthurt. But I'm also not going to give these guys a free pass and slobber over every move they make.

Like I said before, we can give them credit for the good moves they have made but at the same time we can also criticize them for the poor ones because they can do better.
yeah you're butt hurt lol

like who's giving them a free pass or slobbering every move? You crying, whining and making s**t up with hindsight and moves that can't be done is your way of holding them accountable... ridiculous lol

Watson was a proven QB and coming off a few elite seasons. Then he ran into trouble and got hurt. And currently he is leading a 3-1 Browns team.

Trey Lance was an un-proven QB with one year of experience.

Spin it however you want but It was a horrendous trade and probably the worst trade in NFL history IMO considering he did absolutely nothing for us.

I honestly don't think there's anyone really glazing every move. In general, the sum of all of our moves has us consistently competing year in year out. We've had some misses, but also some big hits. Every FO has a mixed record. The people who complain show the least amount of nuance, imo. I see far more people panning the FO over every single thing that happens while never giving them their flowers. And as usual, fans rarely employ a nuanced perspective. I think the last two drafts are looking pretty good after some underwhelming drafts. To see guys like Colby, Sigle, Stout, Black, Duggar, Halton as quality starters right now (with injured guys like Mykel and Strib having looked good in limited time), to me at least, gives this FO a bit more leash. They needed to restock the cupboard, and seem to have risen to the occasion. I also thought the offseason was quietly good with a limited budget.

That's the whole issue with this regime.

Lynch and Shanahan reach on guys they think are system fits every single year in rounds 1-3 then the scouts and position coaches take over and they have success in rounds 4-7

Then made one of the greatest draft selections in NFL history the next year. Becomes a push.

Purdy wasn't a Lynch selection. Brian Griese pounded the table for him.

They will get credit when they win. Until they are just another contender that can't win the big game

That's f**king b******t. You aren't in the draft room. You can't just assign credit to nebulous other people in the organization simply because it suits your narrative. That's not how reality works. You're exactly who I'm talking about when I say there are posters here who wholly lack nuance.

Are we seriously talking the BS reaching crap? Like we really caring what some consensus board says? The boards that don't know how each team feels about every player? I'm so sick of this, those boards don't mean s**t.

If you wanna criticize the Buckner move you have to criticize paying Jimmy G because that was the reason he was moved. Had we not traded for Jimmy and just taken Josh Allen the next year we'd also have a title or two by now. It really is 20/20

You don't trade what they did to move up to take a WR. Especially after taking Aiyuk the year before. Hell I wanted Jefferson at the time so he'd be the move to make in 20 instead of Wirfs or Kinlaw.

Also how do you get Wirfs if you don't trade Buckner? Would've had no shot at Wirfs.

O line has generally been good. To sum a loss up to one missed block when the defense had zero chance of stopping KC even if they scored is way too harsh. Wirfs also doesn't play guard so he doesn't help with what you want to criticize.

Secondary in general has been ignored and that's my biggest beef. If anything that has been the biggest cost to this team whether it be Moseley and Sherm getting beaten at end of 54 or blowing coverages in 59 to lose game.

I still wouldn't have resigned Huf as he's not the coverage safety this team needs. DJ should've been kept. Cap is a real thing.

That's an LMU degree on full display
