Pettis, Hurd, gray, bell, James, Taylor, , Ricky P, stribbling, Deebo, BA and JJ are the choices he has made. Sometimes he isn't happy making the mistake 1x so he doubles down… Pettis. Sometimes he lets the contributors walk, JJ. Deebo is your win for now. Maybe Stribbling grows into his potential and maybe not. Same for Ricky but for now this is what we have to gone on. So yes, it's been a failure. It's tiring hearing the same people give him a pass on the actual results year after year. But injuries.. bad luck… etc etc. you just have to look at the results and evaluate the facts. The results are the results and they ain't good. Maybe try a new GM and maybe just maybe we get different choices and better results. Or just keep doing the same thing and we can keep having these discussions about why we have no receivers and nobody on the d line.. crazy thinking..

That doesn't sound crazy, fire the GM and maybe we'll have good luck, and players won't get injured.

Keep Lynch around in some capacity in the front office. Team President maybe. The players love him and he is a good spokesperson for the team but we need to bring in a qualified GM to run the draft and Shanahan cannot be allowed anywhere near the draft room to pick receivers or RB's anymore.

The goal is to have : Evans, Stribs, Deebo, Robinson, Kirk, Cooks, and Watkins healthy if we make the playoffs.
That's a pretty hard WR room to compete with especially with Purdy at the helm and Kyle calling plays.
Then add in Kittle, CMC, and Black.... thats a dangerous offense to meet in the playoffs imo....

Lets look at some of the other so called "great GMs" around the league and see how they have faired drafting WR since 2017
Rams - Count maybe 2 "wins" as you put it.
Cooper Kupp, Josh Reynolds, Van Jefferson, Tutu Atwell, Jacob Harris, Ben Skowronek, Puka Nacua, Jordan Whittington, Konata Mumpfield, C.J. Daniels
Eagles - Count maybe 1
Mack Hollins, Shelton Gibson, J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, Jalen Reagor, John Hightower, Quez Watkins, DeVonta Smith, Ainias Smith, Johnny Wilson, Makai Lemon
KC - Count maybe 2
Jehu Chesson, Mecole Hardman, Cornell Powell, Skyy Moore, Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, Jalen Royals, Cyrus Allen
It's almost as if drafting is hard? Failures everywhere from all the top GMs but Lynch is the only one who fails apparently. And are we also going to act like Kyle isn't the mastermind around drafting these WRs? Yes Lynch has made mistakes in the draft no doubt about it. They over value players and reach. But so does every GM that has ever been employed in the NFL.

It gets so tiring hearing the same people complain about Lynch and wanting a qualified GM. Exactly who are they going to replace him with? The reality is if a GM is having a good run anywhere he's not available. The options for replacing Lynch would be some assisitant from another team that has no proven record so you could easily end up with someone worse. Certainly no guarantee he would be better.
GMs are always only as good as their last draft. If they have a bad run of luck because of injures or off field issues then they often get fired even when it isn't their fault. Then they go to some crappy team and rebuild it and people say we should have never fired him.

Everyone and their mother wanted Chris Ballard back then. Hows that worked out for Indy.
All that great Rams young talent we heard about all offseason has been completely underwhelming so far this year. Eagles elite young defensive talent equally underwhelming.

Using that under 25 impact player crap, rams have none. Puka is 25 if they want to include that

Yet they each have a Super Bowl win and we don't. Try again

But not because they drafted much better. Literally came down to a handful of plays in 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023. Sucks, but it's hardly the "gotcha" referendum on the draft people want to claim it is.

So had they finished the last 7 minutes of SB 54 differently you would be giving Lynch a pass for his talent accumulation?
9ers can draft and develop better. No one is arguing. But those of you who spent all offseason talking up how talented these other teams were don't get to point to past success to justify their current struggles.
Lynch isn't being fired so it's all a moot point. Either he moves on or is resigned. I think he's moving on.

Absolutely 💯 without a doubt.
Had he drafted better and not blown so many premium picks on RB's and a K for example maybe we have a better guard than Burford who blew an assignment and let Chris Jones rush free. Or maybe we have a better safety who doesn't blow a coverage and let KC convert a 3rd and 15. Maybe we have a better LB than Oren Burks who got destroyed when we lost Greenlaw. Maybe we have a better receiver than Emmanuel Sanders and he makes that deep catch for a TD.
Both those losses came down to a handful of plays and it's not a stretch to say that if Lynch drafted better we probably have one, maybe two SB wins now.

Choosing Armstead and Ward over Deforest Buckner which lead to us drafting Javon Kinlaw and passing on Tristian Wirfs.
Draft Ja'Marr Chase instead of Trey Lance
In those two instances we clearly drafted for need and passed on a superior player.
And then not keeping:
DJ Jones
Talanoa Hufunga
Maliek Collins
DJ Reed
and others
And thinking he can replace them with draft picks.
And then ignoring the Oline and safety positions for years and thinking we can plug in mediocre players and Shanahan can scheme us to wins
With those few players and few different moves we are a dynasty and multiple Super Bowl winner IMO.
His biggest issue is personnel decisions IMO. He let these guys leave and thought he could replace them in the draft and we have 10 years of data now that shows pretty much every one of their 1-3rd round draft picks are reaches.
Hindsite is 20/20. I understand that but these guys have made some baffling personnel decisions.

TL Vs Chase .. Having the right QB gives you the chance to win a SB every year. Lance had the tools, just can't put it together.
DJ Jones - Cost too much
Talanoa Hufunga - Cost too much for a player injured the last two years
Maliek Collins - No one mentioned this name in the last two years
DJ Reed - Injured and now is a journeyman
and others
"And thinking he can replace them with draft picks." He has and were still a top team.. if you have forgotten already
OL has been moving up every season.
Reaches are a personal preferences, not a standard.
While JL isn't perfect, we are still a team that most teams would love to be in the same situation/position

If you wanna criticize the Buckner move you have to criticize paying Jimmy G because that was the reason he was moved. Had we not traded for Jimmy and just taken Josh Allen the next year we'd also have a title or two by now. It really is 20/20
You don't trade what they did to move up to take a WR. Especially after taking Aiyuk the year before. Hell I wanted Jefferson at the time so he'd be the move to make in 20 instead of Wirfs or Kinlaw.
Also how do you get Wirfs if you don't trade Buckner? Would've had no shot at Wirfs.
O line has generally been good. To sum a loss up to one missed block when the defense had zero chance of stopping KC even if they scored is way too harsh. Wirfs also doesn't play guard so he doesn't help with what you want to criticize.
Secondary in general has been ignored and that's my biggest beef. If anything that has been the biggest cost to this team whether it be Moseley and Sherm getting beaten at end of 54 or blowing coverages in 59 to lose game.
I still wouldn't have resigned Huf as he's not the coverage safety this team needs. DJ should've been kept. Cap is a real thing.
