Ward was a top 5 corner in 2023 for sure. Also I'd argue Sherman was close to a top 5 corner in 2019 too
With corners though, one is not enough. Ambry Thomas I think hasnt played in the NFL since 2023 and he was our starter for three years....if we just had someone better than him in 2022 and 2023 the team would have been a lot better. Hell, I remember they sat Ambry for the Superbowl and I think Mooney Ward was targeted zero times by Mahomes in that entire game.
