And what gets the trade done? CJ West & a 3rd? Alfred Collins & a 5th? As long as we keep one of our young stud DTs, I'm ok with it.

We need to keep the depth, I'm giving up picks not players.

Same here, no way am I including either Collins or West, both have too much upside to trade away and it seems to be the same crowd who wants ton get younger and cheaper that also want us to bring in high priced older vets and it seems that the ppl that want these big names only want them cause well they're big name players

it would be a 1 year rental essentially so i also dont think we should trade a young player.

I think its a luxury for sure if we trad ehim i wouldnt mind it for a mid round pick having him with Osa would be pretty dangerous also would eat up so much space and help the LB a lot .

I wouldnt go too hard after him though

Agreed and I have no idea what he'll want extension wise but I can't imagine it's gonna be cheap not after Jalen Carter just got $38m a yr, he's not younger than Carter but I can see him wanting in the $30m a yr range as he's 31 which isn't terribly old

Good luck with either, teams don't just grad top tier edge rushers this late into the offseason and then giants want a 2nd for Thibodeaux which is way way too much for a guy who has a high salary and will get overpaid in 2027, and I wouldn't trade for him and redo his deal and let him walk as you'd have a lot of dead money in 2027 as for Maxx yeah I doubt it, he sounds like he is happy there, plus not sure they will deal him to us

May as well sign Deebo and Clowney. I mean why not? Much more prudent and cheaper than trading for Vea or Crosby.

Could be Seattle since he's played for Mike McDonald. He's also played for Eberflus too, but I'm gonna say Seattle since it would be McDonalds defense and not Eberflus's he's gonna play in.

I wouldn't mind Deebo, he's reliable as a return man too.

Yeah I know. wishful thinking.

that would be trade deadline at best.
As the GM, shouldn't have been made aware of this Pearsall situation before it happened.

Didn't he check-up on the injury rehab progress - if any?

Who was supposed to update him and why wasn't this addressed.

Do the players decide how they're progressing or is there a person to monitor this.

Another wasted 1st round pick.

Not a wasted pick. It would be a good pick if it wasn't for bad luck. How could they have known he would get shot or tear his PCL?

Agreed. He has looked really good in the short stints at full health. Just brutal that yet another 1st round pick is going to have little to no impact for the Niners
Moody next?

I remember us (as a forum; not necessarily me and you) talking about him during his draft….. so there's that lol

Injured or healthy; Cooper DeJean is and would've been the better pick. Still trip that they messed that one up
