2027 - 5th
2028 - 4th
How do I put this nicely...
Good god this would be a horrible deal IMO, both DMo and McKivitz are needed, idk who the hell replaces them and plays anywhere near their level now Brown wouldn't be missed also not sure why LV would do this deal anyway? They'd want a guaranteed 1st not a 2nd that can maybe become a 1st
I didn't want to take him seriously but yes...the idea of trading away 2 of our best players(yes I said it about McKivitz!) at arguably our weakest positions to add Crosby(great player but the injury concerns and salary are problematic for long term team building) is well...slap worthy imo.
Mayer btw has been a substantial disappointment. I wouldn't mind adding him and seeing if we can get him to play up to his draft status but not at the cost of decimating the team.
Agreed, no way should we deal two of our best players, especially when McKivitz is a top 5-10 RT IMO, he had a great PFF grade for 2025, sure PFF grades aren't always accurate, see their grade for Juice, but still other sites had McKivitz graded high last year, and he's been getting better each year, as for DMo, I don't get his argument about Stout, he's not an outside CB, he's a slot, he's a good player, he's not DMo level, yet, but it'd be a downgrade to have him on the outside.
As for Mayer, yeah he's been a disappointment since being drafted, not sure I'd give up more than a conditional 7th for him when he's a UFA after this year I believe, not when we have DMo & McKivitz signed through 2029 & 2028 respectively, and on cheaper-ish deals, and as much as I'd love Maxx, his knee scares me long term.
