The big difference is, they also have upgraded their backfield to go along with the pass rush.

I want to preface this by saying I know Garrett is better than Verse, but I don't think by much. This trade honestly doesn't scare me that much. I initially thought Verse and Garrett would be teamed up together, which did scare me. But after I read the details, the rams lost out.

The browns get a VERY good edge rusher who could become elite. They also got elite draft compensation and cap relief.

The rams are obviously selling out on garrett this year. This is not a good trade looking at the next 2-4 years imo. Myles is already 30 years old. He's the highest paid defender (I think). One injury can derail this entire thing. I looked up stats, and he is surprisingly durable. I'll give him that. He's missed 15/149 regular season games. But still he's older and the body starts to break down right about now.

Anyways Kyle was always at least pretty good at containing Aaron Donald. He did OK with Verse. Im hoping he can scheme some clever blocks and we can count of Purdys shiftiness to get out of tight situations.

Don't panic. We'll be ok. Or we won't be. Who cares

Yeah honestly I get freaking out initially as always and sure this might work out for the Rams, but people are really, really undervaluing Verse right now in this initial reaction.

He was a 1st round pick two years ago and has multiple Pro Bowls already, and he was DROY in 2024. He was the Rams' best pass rusher.

Rams gave up a lot. We probably would have had to trade Bosa and our 1st and even then the Browns probably would've said "no we're trying to unload cap space not replace it."

Agree. I am honestly surprised they made that deal. They gave up a younger star and a first for a guy who turns 31 this year. How much longer does he play?

Last year he didn't get a sack against us so there's that.

You've obviously never been to SoFi

The Rams with Stafford near the end of his run, with Nacua, Adams made the right move as their 'window' is 1-2 years.

Really wish Lynch would stop b******tting at Safety!!! Trading for Jessie Bates would make me feel a whole lot better on missing out on Garrett. Are we trying to win at cap space or win the Super Bowl? I'd be willing to go into cap hell and become the devil of cap hell if it meant a Super Bowl win!!! So tired of being so ginger around cap space!!!

Their ugly little rat coach will be gone to by then.. the Rams will be an afterthought in a year with nothing to show for it

I'm not one to root for injuries, so I wont...BUT if the Rams and Seattle somehow experience even a hint of what we've had to experience in the last few years in terms of impact injuries, then we'll see how things go.

We had a top heavy roster that couldn't overcome impact injuries. Rams are putting it almost all on two excellent but older vets. Hopefully football gods aren't kind to another super team.

I mean… we were saying the same thing when they traded for Goff. And Peters/Talib. And Ramsey. And Stafford. And Von Miller. And now McDuffie and Garrett.

I do think people are overreacting but at the same time the Rams have shown there are always more picks in the future… heck if any trades turn out bad you can just make more! I totally get why people might be tired of this while our biggest moves are CMC and Trent Williams (Trey Lance didn't really work out and Dee Ford only kinda did).

Osa was perhaps our biggest trade in like the last 4 years for comparison.

Sometimes it feels like the FO is content with being a perennial contender but never actually winning the Lombardi.

I mean, the Stanford trade did get them a ring. At least their FO is 100% committed to winning rings. Can't say the same about Jeb

The Rams are one of the leagues healthiest teams

This is exactly how I feel!!! Especially when I hear s**t like Shanahan will never get fired. The seat is so cold, why risk anything? I'd love a different approach for once, that Les Snead approach where we acquire McDuffie and Garrett in the same year!!! I love the Osa trade but C'mon Lynch put your f**kin balls out there!!!!

Like I said, Les Snead says "f**k the picks"!!!! The only positive from this is that the Rams won't have Jared Verse and Myles Garrett on the D-line!!! 9ers didn't have anything to trade but two 1st round picks for Garrett. Jared Verse gave the Rams the edge and who knows Snead must suck a good dick!!!

Mykes Garrett would've been frickin great for the 9ers. But I never thought the 9ers could get him in the first place, but they can throw picks at any impact Safety!!!

I would have traded the picks, with MG on our team they would have been late first round picks anyway. Not to mention we don't do much with our picks.

We will now be forced to compete, maybe we build a better OL.

Maybe our OL gets better playing 4 total regular season games against the Rams & Seahawks every year.

Don't worry I'm hearing good things about Connor Colby in shorts and no contact.
