Unfortunately, this is true.
One big problem is that there's just not enough quality OL in each years draft, that's why there's a lack of even good depth in the NFL, chances are we draft heavy OL wise and we end up with 1 or more busting out cause again not enough quality IMO.
Agree 💯 %. Thank god we got a good OLine coach that can manufacture starters out of day three and UDFA marginal talent.
The average number of O linemen selected each year in rounds 1-3 is 20 out of about 100 picks. That isn't very many when you consider that we're talking about 5 starters for each team. Most teams carry bout 10 O linemen. They're 45% of the offensive players. I suspect the draft numbers reflect the longevity of O linemen.
