Far less important that he missed in this case.

Keep taking big swings especially at QB.

If not for dumb idiot Shanahan's love fest with Cousins I bet Lynch picks Mahomes at #3 in that draft if it was just up to him. He would have taken that huge swing on someone also a bit raw and this time instead hit a home run that left the stadium.

People here don't like when this is brought up. Lynch literally called up Kyle and asked him to reconsider and start taking a look at Mahomes. Kyle refused. Traded up in the 3rd round for Beathard instead.

Yep that call from Lynch to Kyle is why I posted what I did.

Thx for providing the link

Lynch is taking Mahomes at #3 if he was allowed to make that pick.

Shaking my damn head.
Moot point. 31 other teams regret not drafting Mahomes after he established himself lol

It's useless to dwell on the past, as you said 31 teams passed on Mahomes, it sucks, not sure how many really thought he'd be this damn good, but it is what it is, glad we have Brock, sure it would have been cool to have Mahomes, but oh well, and had we taken Mahomes, say at 2, we wouldn't have had that 3rd in 2018 to take Warner, so in a way it worked out.

Change bruh to brah and add ah at the end and you're cookin.

"Brah you like scrappin ah?"

Bruh is what the kids nowadays say; I don't think just in the islands. My kid in eighth grade drives me nuts with it.

Not sure you can say 31 teams "passed" on Mahomes when he went 10th overall; but you're right that it's useless to dwell on the past. I'm so guilty of it every draft season cause this regime pisses me off every draft to be honest. Oh well, like ATT said it's a moot point; hope we kill this draft and add some key pieces to quiet down all the Shecawk and Lamb love in the media circus
Meh, if it wasn't for Alex Smith teaching Mahomes the ins and outs..wouldn't have been as successful Nothing without Alex
I think this Free Agency period has been amazing, WR was looking like a gaping hole, but it's definitely patched up, even if just for a year or two. We're in a great position that we don't have to force it in the draft.

Osa Odighizuwa trade shores up that unit, you have concerns with West leading the unit and Collins as #2, but shuffle them down one and it's a huge positive. They also get to learn from him.

I'm happy with the depth pieces added on the line, but still need a starter in the interior. Pretty sure Trent will sign just after OTA's or the conditioning week of TC! He's earned that if he wants to.

I think Safety needs addressing, but you can't fix everything, there looks like there will be options in the first two rounds to help that unit.

Tonges signing was solid to back up Kittle.

I think we should just go Best players available in the draft given that most of the talent on the roster is ageing. However shoe horning a Safety and/or Guard/Center isn't the worst idea for this year's challenge.

As long he's not stalking high school kids anymore, he's good in my book.

Ah, Gore looking for a lawsuit……
Let's keep this thread on topic. People can't be throwing around serious accusations about other posters because you disagree with their takes.

It certainly helped Mahomes that he wasn't forced to start right away and got to learn from Andy Reid and Smith who was playing well by then. He likely would have done well in SF but in 2017 the 49ers were in a rebuild. They were concentrating on the trenches before taking a big swing on a QB. Thomas was considered a good D line propect by most scouts. He never met expectations but he wasn't the wrong pick at the time.
John Lynch rules or doesn't.

Wait, someone on here stalked HS kids? WTF?

Yes. Pactiger (I.e. Patton) grade A creep

He is not that poster. I'm asking everyone once again to get back on track. We may disagree with each other but accusing people you disagree with of being pedophiles or even skirting around that idea is not going to fly.

If you guys believe someone is a banned poster using another account report it to the mods and let us research. Keep the thread on topic and address the posts by that account.
Seems like we are always in need of pass rushers and Dlinemen even after using our top picks on this every year.

Must be hard to draft D-Line/O-line? I would look at what metric the Seahawks and Eagles are using as they seemed to be able to draft the trenches well.

Thank you Genus for that clarification.

Better than average BUT his drafts are skewed by KS involvement.
