Lynch is well aware of what their needs are. I'm guessing he prioritized signing Evans or some other proven WR before any other position because of the Jennings situation.. He may have felt that picking at #27 would make it a long shot to get anyone as good as Evans. No way they could go into next year with the often injured Pearsall as there only recieving option. Now I think they'll go DL or OL dependng on who's there when they pick. They may still pick a WR in a later round.
Denver released Greenlaw so I wonder if they'll try and bring him back.
Wouldn't be surprised at all if we still went WR early.
I think signing Evans takes WR off the board early. Just too many more pressing needs all over the roster, and now a little breathing room at WR.
Evans, Pearsall, Robinson, Watson are locks. I still have hopes for Cowing. That leaves one, maybe two, more spots between FAs/Rookies/UDFAs.
My guess is we target WR in the 4th +- a round. But then again, I know nothing of college players and where positional values are in the draft. And I admit, Kyle is a bit of a wild card with offensive guys in the draft.
I'd be surprised if they took WR before the 4th, but my jaw wouldn't exactly be on the floor.
