The blockbuster trade we need to make isn't for Maxx, IMO. It's for a star WR like Justin Jefferson or Jamar Chase.

Bosa/Williams will return. Aiyuk won't and he left a burning hole in the roster.

Jefferson is signed through the next 3 years. Chase for the next 4. Jefferson is set to make about $40 million per year. Chase only slightly less.

They would make less with a trading team due to dead cap hits, much closer to about $30M/yr.

That said, I don't think it happens. Back-to-back 1sts probably isn't enough for the Vikings/Bengals to think about it unless one of them wants out and Aiyuk is likely dead weight in any trade.

I cant seem them trading any high picks for a player. I would rather trade players to get more decent picks.

49ers 2025 draft class got one of the lowest grades in the NFL.

Future looks bright.

I think Larry fell and bumped his head.

Is the draft class bad? Idk it could be. Too early to tell.

It certainly isn't bad because some random ESPN "analyst" gave it a C though.

We'll get pick #44 from the Jets. Maybe. Anything better than that is an automatic yes.
To me, if we get a 2bd round offer for Mac, you have to pull that trigger. We have too many holes and a + 2nd can really help.

Anything less than that and I'm not as interested.

Krueg is trippin if he thinks the 9ers and Cards will work out a trade. And Krueg is asking way too much for Mac Jones. If they can get a 2nd round pick that's an A trade, they can get a 2nd and a 4th that's a A+ trade.
So Shanahan wanted Jones, and Lynch talked him out of it.

I just find this so hard to believe.

If it's true Lynch would've been fired by now already (or at least stripped of his GM role).

So who should get fired, if Mac Jones confirmed Shanahan wanted him.

I read on PFT it was Shanahan who told Lynch to look into Trey Lance. But was undecided on draft day on who to take Lance or Mac Jones.

Eh… I would expect Mac to be a little biased. For obvious reasons, lol

I think it's very simple:

The media pretended they knew who we were going to draft because they hate looking like they don't know things, so they continuously insisted it was Mac Jones. Because they were wrong with egg all over their face, they've been trying to back track with contradictory stories saying "well the 49ers were GOING to draft Mac UNTIL…"
