I view Lynch as more of the figurehead of the operation. I'm sure they have scouts that have been here for a decade or more that actually do most of the player evaluation work. Lynch is just one of the trigger men

We have drafted 3 impact players since 2020: Aiyuk, Lenoir and Purdy. Aiyuk is gone. Purdy was the last pick.
The FO has completely ruined this team.
Do you an explanation for why you think the same guys have now ruined the team?
And perhaps he could explain how a team, with deep injuries and without key players on their O line, wide receivers, tight end, D line, defensive backfield and without their starting linebacker squad, and without their starting quarterback for an extended period, can get through to the playoffs and through the first round? And by the way, whilst the schedule was originally assessed as very weak, that is of course with last year's teams strengths. The schedule strength was reassessed during this season and was, if I remember correctly, assessed as mid-range. It is an interesting performance this year by a team which is described by some of its fans as ruined. I don't know whether these fans actually watched any games.

We are an aging, injury prone team. The window is closed. We had a chance to win two Super Bowls with this core and a stacked super team and Shanahan blew it.
-Our best DE is coming off his 3rd season ending knee surgery
-Our best LB is coming off a broken ankle
-Our best TE is coming off an Achilles
-Our best WR can't play more than 5 games a year and we have no-one after him. Our 2nd best WR is a free agent.
-Trent Williams will be 38
-CMC was ran into the ground and will be 30
-We have no pass rushing DT's , our Oline cannot run block and our safeties can't cover or tackle
-We have a regime that cannot draft and makes terrible personnel decisions
-We have ZERO impact players under the age of 25

Same—but I do think we should hire a GM. Have Lynch drop the GM title and stay president of football operations. Hire someone with executive experience to be our GM. I think that's a change that would make all sides of the aisle happy.

Mathew sttafford (short week and rams really should have won)

Then consider what players the 9ers had on defense. And what kind of pressure they got on QB's. Context matters.

The niners had 5 impressive wins this year
rams
seahawks
bears
eagles
browns
Of those games they were underdogs I think 3 times. Im pretty sure they were favored in the rest of the games they won. So it's not like those wins were surprises, even with the injuries.
The season was impressive. But let's not hype this team up just based on their record. We saw who they really were vs the rams and Seahawks over their last 3 games vs them.

We lose two superstars on D and the entire unit goes to trash?

AMC is showing a 2 day documentary on the Niners Sunday and Monday. I thought this might be a showing of what we've seen before on NFL but this is a new production filmed last year. It goes back into the history of the team and how Eddie D and Walsh built the dynasty. Randy Cross said it focuses a lot on Walsh.
Anyway I just wanted to post it somewhere for those that weren't aware of it or may have thought it was a re-run. Be sure to record it because AMC usually has a ton of commercials.

Hey you play who's on your schedule. I'd say for all the injuries the 9ers took this past season (most injured team in the NFL) I'd say our easy schedule was a wash.

When you have zero depth from poor drafting and all your money is spent on aging vets and players no longer on the team and you develop a system in which you're overly reliant on a handful of guys to keep the machine rolling....yes.

Nope, especially when Kyle regards him as one of the top centers in the NFL.
