Are the Chargers not in LA yet?

Yes but I'm sure everyone still has a Home in San Diego at this point.

John Lynch lives in SD.

I know he does but he wasn't interviewing himself. Sounds like he was interviewing someone from the Chargers coaching staff would be my guess.

Robert Saleh was just hired this offseason and since they are moving to LA i don't think he would be in SD.

I wont speculate because thats all it would be.

He was on KNBR and a,so did an interview with Florio on PFT. Just listened to them both back to back so the below could be a mix of the two:

He said that he interviewed a D.C. Candidate in San Diego - must have been last week. Made a joke that his wife had to run to Home Depot and get a grease board so JL would have that for the interview.

Indicated that he spent all day today looking at QB's; later said something that made me think that it was primarily looking at our current QB's today

Was asked about the tough SB loss and how that might affect Kyle. Had a great answer saying that Kyle will learn from it and be stronger (and use is as fuel). Also said good thing he learned those lessons on another team or something like that.

Some good stuff about the decision to take this job and how he knows he can be successful.

I continue to be more and more impressed with him. A very long way too go but I'm starting to think that folks that made fun of this hire and panned it may eat those words someday. what a great leader and spokesman for the franchise.

This guy has done more in the last week then Baalke has done with his entire stint in SF

I heard his PFT interview...It was awesome to say the least. JL definitely brings leadership to the 49ers and will light a fire with the true ballers on the team. Thus far, I'm loving this hire.
Lynch said its possible they might wait until next year to get their QB

I think Mitch/Watson or not, you make it seem you're in love with the both of them or whoever the hotter prospect is... a win-win if you're #1 on your big board still, want either QB,or want to trade down.

I think they have more leverage if they are ambiguous on what their plans are. They might get a QB this year, they might wait until next year, its not really in their interest to declare definitively one way or another. Also its quite accurate, they may not go all in on a quarterback this season.
Just read this from JL: "...We're going to make some more announcements in the front office of guys that I think can help build our team."

Any speculations beyond Mark Dominik & Martin Mayhew?

Sounds like the staff is pretty well wrapped up as well:

"The coaching staff's going to start falling into place here really quickly. Guys we're really proud to introduce to this community and to the 49er fans because we think, given the circumstances, how late in the game it was, we really pulled off a coup with the staff we're putting together. That has been at work. That is being handled."

I believe you start paying a lot of attention to third and fourth round QB prospects. Everyone will get a chance to learn about Watson and Trubisky but what about Webb, Peterman, Evans...etc?

This. dtg, of these QB's, do you know who played in a pro-style offense? Who has the best pocket-feel (athleticism within the pocket), throws with anticipation, can process very quickly (pre-post snap), is very accurate, best foot work, bright/quick study (WCO), etc. I'm looking for the best WCO fit...which means the best fit could be in the 3rd or 4th rounds (like Kirk Cousins).

He's shrinking. By draft day, he'll be 5-8.
