It was a lot to trade. I still would've pulled the trigger but it sounds like Lynch tried. They've been nothing but incredibly transparent and honest since they've join so I believe him.

The most difficult thing with this trade was the contract extension in my opinion. You're trading 2 1st round picks, at least one looking like a very high 1st rd pick + 23.5mil / year.

You're now talking about trading probably 3-4 pro-bowl caliber / all-pro players even for a DPOY - 2 12mil players and 2 1st rd picks. We also have to pay Buck and would then have more than 70mil - half our cap tied to just 3 players.

Yet, Khalil also fills our biggest need and plays the 2nd most difficult / important position to find in football. It was a lot to give up for him and we still tried hard for it. I don't know what people want.

There's 32 teams and Khalil Mack can only play for 1. Crying that the world is over and that Lynch is now the worst GM is nonsense.

Go look at what the average career length is for guys picked in the 5th round and beyond. The Saints cut half their draft class this year before we even got to Week 1. Which isn't entirely all that uncommon, especially for later round picks.

Wouldn't say overrated but over hyped around here is more accurate...people were trying to anoint Colbert as the next Ed Reed but he has looked pretty terrible this year when comparing him to last year... Than again you would see these deficiencies in our secondary if they would have just addressed the pass rush....

I'd say Colbert's issue is more mental than lack of pass rush. Based on how he plays, I'm confident he will be better with more experience. Truth be told, AC is already a good pick based off of what we have seen already. If we are going to judge guys based on draft position, then to get this many starts (more so last year than this year) out of a 7th round pick is pretty good. To put it in perspective, if Colbert turned out to be a solid back up long term and we replaced him as a starter, it's still a good pick for the 7th round. Taylor is an okay pick. The way it stands right now, we have 3 picks you can consider bad in 2 year. Solomon Thomas, who I think will get it together once he plays his natural position, Joe Williams, and Street. And even Street has an opportunity to turn that around should he develop into a contributor.

FA, definitely. Draft not as much because of the injury bug and low snap counts: I couldn't get a gauge of them. But since then, it's obvious everything he touched turned to s**t.

They've been incredibly aggressive and have turned over this roster in a very short period. Every single position group has improved drastically from what we had in 2016. You guys are being ridiculous.

And no surprise, Richburg and Sherman have been good for us. Nobody is questioning all of the moves they did make. Many were good. Some didn't pan out. We're talking about the moves they didn't make here and was that enough. It's probably all moot now given we're back to being the worst team in football.
Lynch damage controlling to cover up for his lack of moves lol now that's rich

and its also about a couple of players they opted to keep when they should have cut bait and tried to upgrade. no names mentioned but initials are ward aa and marsh. some fans thought this roster pre injury was a 10 win team and that was pure fantasy in my opinion. and no matter who is out there. there is no excuse for the team to tackle as bad as they do. make the mistakes they do and not create turnovers like they can not do.

you know what empty suit does... he comes on local media once a week to say bad tackling will not be tolerated and whatever else. then does nothing to back it up and then we endure another s**tty performance. he comes on talks in his smooth snake oil salesman tone of voice. that calms his base down but alot of people are starting to see he is an empty suit

in regards to lynch. his first draft looked fine but now with thomas and taylor it looks bad. this years draft is to early to tell aside from fred, the rookie tackle is ok. who knows about pettis and james should get more time along with our 7th round d line guy

My friend, that would be an understatement. LOL
Grab cooper from oakland while his stock is down. Hes an upgrade that could come cheaper than spending a high pick on WR
