Ray Brown as O-Line coach with Chris Dalman or Andy Moeller as assistant. Let's go!

Besides Turner, this is a pretty young staff. Gonna have quite a few growing pains, but a lot of talent also.
Embree is 51, so he's been coaching a while as well. It would be nice if the O-Line coach has a good amount of experience as well and they hired a senior defensive assistant to further balance out the staff. You're right rhough I'm sure there we will have our fair share of growing pains.
Thats right, Embree is one of the my favorite hires. He turned Cameron Brate into a pretty solid TE. I hope he can do the same for McDonald cause he has the tools to be a top 5 TE if he learns how to catch.
The 2 biggest hires next is special teams and Oline coach. I think kyle is trying to zero in on a oline coach that knows his system well. We should bring back foerester.

I agree. I thought it was a lock Hightower was coming here to. Him and Kyle played together at Texas and seemed like a natural fit as ST's coach here.
yeah and Hightower already knows a good amount of players here.

Long time to be just an assistant.
1997-99: Offensive Grad Assistant, Louisiana Tech
2000-01: Offensive GA, Pittsburgh
2001: Offensive Coordinator, Fort Scott Community College
2002: Assistant, Kansas
2002-05: Assistant Special Teams, Houston Texans
2008: Offensive Assistant, Detroit Lions
2009-present: Assistant Special Teams, Atlanta Falcons
I would rather just have Hightower.
I originally leaned towards liking Sutulovich, but after further research, I'm not sure. It's kind of a toss-up. Hightower has a history of working with some top 10 STs units, but so does Sutulovich. Both have been around a bit, so you can't just go off of last year.
But just for kicks (no punt intended. Okay, pun intended both times): The Falcons allowed the 11th most KO return yards (I'm ranking by per return average because not every team had the same number of kickoff attempts), and the 8th most punt return yards. On the other hand, Chicago was not great last year either on STs. They were middle of the pack (15th in KO return average), but they allowed the highest punt return average in the league, including being one of the 9 teams to allow a TD.

jeez we would have a staff that has players older than some coaches and coaches that should be on life support lol. the only middle ground would be embree sr.

This is only a guess...but I'd bet Shanahan is going to keep one or both of last year's OL coaches, which is why we haven't heard anything in terms of interviews, possible interest in coaches outside the organization, etc.

Could be a mixture of 'if I can work with Mike Shanahan, I can work with his son' guys.

Richard Hightower will be #49ers special teams coach, source said. Shanahan did also interview Eric Sutulovich for the job.
