January 10th 1982, My Wife and I were in Section 12, Row-19, Seats 11 &12 and witnessed first hand Joe Montana complete a touchdown pass to Dwight Clark, today and forever known as "THE CATCH", at the "STICK", and the dynasty was born! 35 years later it still stands out as the most prolific play in our storied 49ER History! I know we are all longing for those days again, I hope we will see them again? Happy Anniversary to the Faithful, and thank you Joe and Dwight! And obviously thank you to Bill Walsh and Eddie D for building the dynasty!

Too young to have witnessed it and really "feel" the impact in the same way long-suffering 49er fans of the 60s and 70s felt it, but the closest I have come is with my basketball team, the Miami Heat, when they finally won their first world championship. Prior to that (pre-Wade, pre-Shaq), I felt we never had the true nationally recognized star players other teams had, never had the same type of fan support, never could come through in the clutch and win when it mattered (we either were stomped out in the playoffs or suffered gut wrenching losses). When a franchise FINALLY breaks through, it is truly something special. Knowing the history of the 49ers prior to The Catch and then what transpired in the two decades after, it really makes that game and that play something special.

I would love if we had a moment like that, slaying the current NFL Dragon, the New England Patriots, Tom Brady, Bill Belichek, and yes, even Robert Kraft.
