I got blocked over that tweet. Knew it was bs. Shes a blogger... not a reporter.

Makes you wonder, perhaps over the past couple of years when the team had been meeting with father Mike, if perhaps they discussed his son at all as a future HC.

This.......I have thought the same thing....

Craig M ‏@Dolfan2334 1h1 hour ago @AllbrightNFL wow!! I'm shocked. Thought he would be the prize this offseason.

Benjamin Allbright ‏@AllbrightNFL @Dolfan2334 Nah. NFL people are put off by his arrogance, thats what sunk him in Denver.

Funny thing that is the same thing that was Shanahan's problem.

Just saw a tweet that McDaniels withdrew once he sensed he wasn't the 49ers first choice.

The #Niners are waiting on Kyle Shanahan, Tom Cable was the fallback plan McDaniels pulled out when he realized he wasn't first choice.

Makes you wonder, perhaps over the past couple of years when the team had been meeting with father Mike, if perhaps they discussed his son at all as a future HC.

Good point

For Gods sake. Whats it going to take to get rid of one of these bums? (Cable or Bevell). Going to be a long season next year.

Would love to see headlines one day: "Like Father Like Son; 49ers' Shanahan leads team to Super Bowl Victory."

The fanbase is begging right now for final confirmation of Shanahan being the new 49ers HC, but I think it's going to be after the Super Bowl. It's going to be a painful few weeks.

Here is a link that Cable has withdrawn his name as a HC candidate. If Shanahan says no. What is going to happen then?
Was Kyle a hc before or was that oc only on redskins?

We already improved simply by not hiring Cable. Speaking of which...
Any O line coaches tied to Shanahan?
Kyle Shanahan has only been O'CONNOR and never been a HC. He has what it takes in my opinion.

FWIW, on NFLN this morning, they had a segment on the coaching search. The 49ers had the candidates as such:

1. McVay (he turned them down)

2. Shanahan

3. McDaniels (withdrew from consideration)

I don't know how true this is or what to make of it, but I read this on NinersNation.

McVay did not turn the job down. 49ers just weren't quite ready to make a offer and the Rams jumped in.

From what I've been reading about McVay we missed out on the best coach available.
