Passing game - play by play

Sorry, I have neither the time nor the inclination to do it this week. Two reasons: 1. The passing game stunk. Anybody with eyes can see it. I have held out hope against hope that Gabbert would somehow get it together but it is now time to recognize it isn't happening. 2. I despise the black uniforms for two reasons: A. They make player ID so difficult that it takes twice the time to see who is doing what. I watch football both to see the outcome of the play AND to see who is doing what. Even as poorly as the team is going now, there are things I want to see, both good and bad. With those abominable black uniforms, it takes 3 or 4 rewinds to see what you might see with just 1 take otherwise. That takes all the joy out of it. When both the local radio team and the network TV guys start their broadcasts with apologies in advance for mis-identifying the players, you know there is a problem. B. The "color" black represents all that is wrong about this franchise now and nothing that has been good about it in the past. Black is an apt description of this franchise right now from Jed on down. Individual players just fade into obscurity in a haze of blackness. Perhaps that is what management would like to see happen with the dismal product they have put on the field. Other teams have some "interesting" alternate uniforms but at least teams like the Steelers bring back looks from their storied history. For the 49ers, black represents nothing of the past except the dark years of Ericsson/Nolan/Singletary, and for the older fans, the Joe Thomas nightmare of the late 70s. This team has never used black as a featured color in the past. To do so now only points out another error in judgement by management. I will likely do a passing game summary again after the Buffalo game, be it whatever it may be. Hopefully it will be a more uplifting event. Let's hope so. In the meantime, my email is on the way to the idiots on Centennial Drive to demand those black sacks be dumped into the bay.

From what I've read on twitter seems that Gabbert missed reads once again this game. Many of his sacks had wide open players waiting for the football.

I don't blame any of you guys for not re-watching that mess just for the film thread.
