Will Seattle cover the 9 point spread?

Yes just like the Panthers did.

The Seahawks may not even score 9 points. Their oline may be the worst in football while our oline may be the best pass blocking line in football. We won't be able to run the ball much, but Seattle won't get pressure on gabbert the way they did on Tannehill. Seattles offense is awful. Hurt Rawls, hurt Russ, terrible oline. If we can put up 17 points we win the game. I'll be in Vegas this weekend and am definitely betting the niners to cover.

Maybe. I agree we won't have a good day running. I have a feeling that the 49ers will commit 2 turnovers and Seattle will turn those into touchdowns. 49ers force a turnover but only get a FG. That's an 11 point difference.
The real question is how many injuries will we suffer in this game. We always lose about 2-3 players each time we face them.

Wilhoite will prob pull a hammy trying to keep up with Jimmy G.
All of a sudden, this strange method of getting plays in, via hand signals, has a very attractive appeal. Also, SEA can't count on 4, 5 or 6 delay of game penalties like we have had each time we played up there the last 5 yrs. The raucous fan noise suddenly becomes useless. Also we may very well catch them a couple times NOT ready for the play, while they are still shifting around in their DL or D backfield. We can run plays on them bam bam bam. And somehow those DoG penalties always seemed to come as a rally buster. We'd get something going and bingo, D of G. Not Sunday. Snap counts? Not so sure about that one, but DoGs are gone forever.

As for winning in C Link, we've been putting up points, them not so much (unhhh....15 or something ridiculous like that), while we, for the first time in 2 yrs have done the opposite. Our OL is going to surprise them, as we played well against the best front 7 (or tied with Denver), wiht Gab being gotten to only once. Against SEA, that is an incredible difference. We are playing way better than anyone imagined, they are playing way worse than anyone imagined. They actually lost to Rams? I think I remember us beating the Rams by 28 ...oh, that's right...that was just 2 weeks ago. Marshawn Lynch will be a real load for us. We have never had the answer for him...oh, that's right, he no longer is playing.

Well, Russ W will once again run circles around us...oops, high ankle sprain and not able to get out of trouble like he usually does. Well, Cool Hand Pete...he will out coach us like he has the last 10 times we played them....oops, that's right....he lost his cool last week and almost had a grand mal seizure en route to their second straight loss.

Probably they will crush Gab because our OL only gives him .8sec to get the ball out....oh, that's right, he has had 1.5 to 2.5 sec to get the ball out against two great DLs/front 7s.

Ah heck, we don't have any deep passing game. No way we can win without that. Oh, that's right, McD got one and Torrey got one last game. Hmmm...Well for sure Pete the Cheat will out coach our buffoon JT. Shucks , he's gone too....now it is that guy with all the innovative ideas.

Maybe on second thot , SEA needs to be the one thinking about going 0-3, and what happens to them if they lose their 3rd straight. That would put them at the bottom of the bottom. Maybe we'll see a team that comes out and presses, and loses it, instead. True the game hasn't been played yet, but SEA has no idea just how good our OL is. Same can be said about our DL. If we contain RW, this very well may be an upset NOBODY saw coming. And right now, things are aligned like they haven't been in the last 5 trips up here. In the PYMWYMI, I had this down as a for certain loss. But then nobody knew how our OL, DL, DBs , TEs and certainly not Kerley nor Streator nor McD would play. Maybe this might just turn out to be the start of a long string of losses for SEA in their own home.

I am not sure of anything, but do know this is an entirely different and massively better team (and coach) than the ones up here the last 5 trips. If we are going to win up here and keep the Ws coming, there certainly couldn't be a better time.

One caveat...Chip will have to wait for the running game to kick in until a slew of short passes, dink and dunk, WCO, or whatever your preference is...by first getting them off the LOS and then going after them with the run. I think Chip saw that happen in the Panthers game. My bet is he learned from that and comes out passing against SEA , and WILL get them off the LOS. It will be an early inidcator if we win or not. If we can get them off the line, then we can unleash Hyde, Draughan, and so on. But first , we must complete a significant number of passes ...don't have to be long ones, just enough to move the chains, and Gab with Kerley, Strteator, Torrey, and McD can all do that. Throw in Celek too, maybe Bell.

If game starts out that way, then we have a really good shot at breaking the CLink curse.
Always been the same formula for Seattle yet we've always failed.

Just. Stop. Their. Run.

Easy as that. With lynch gone and the flash-in-pan Rawls nullified.. why not our first win in Seattle since '11

All I heard while reading this was the fastest 3 and out in the game. Can't be overthrowing wide open dudes and burning screen passes into the ground.

49ers were 4/14 on 3rd downs last week. Seattle is ranked 1st against the run and 2nd against the pass. Not going to be easy.

Once again a poll shows that the voices who actively post do not represent the whole. Most fans have a positive impression of the team, its coaches and its direction. Those who state otherwise are in the minority.
