I'm worried about K.Benjamin. That guy is at WR like T.Brown is at OT...HUGE. We don't really have anyone to match up to him. Our starters are too short and Benjamin has about 60 lbs on Robinson. It's going to take a team effort to contain him and Newton.

Have ward shadow him all game. Let's see how athletic he really is, and put hits on him every time he try's to catch the ball. Just have to keep them out of the redzone

I would rather double Benjamin and put Ward on whoever the number 2 is. Wards has the quickness to better cover Ginn than Brock.

Just hope we pack our defense. Really hope Dorsey plays as well. We have some big D-Linemen who can take Cam down with more ease than others.

Strategy:
  1. Do not let Cam extend drives with his legs. CAR will run him on any down and are happy to pick up only 3-5 yards with him to make for easy 3rd downs.
  2. Kelvin (6'5" 245) and Funchess (6'4" 225) are two very big boys. Then you have Ginn and Philly Brown who are the opposite. Need to get to Cam.
  3. No turnovers on offense and need at least 6 extended drives.

Kelvins gonna get his in this game. I am starting to think we match up pretty well against them. Ray Ray will have to play huge cause Olsen is the primary threat to shut down. I expect Robinson on Benjamin in Nickle. Ward on Ginn. Brock on Funchess. Should be a much better game than what Vegas thinks.

I don't know. I think we are going to be sluggish and tired. Have a feeling our defense will be looking at each other a lot. Hope they don't lose hope and understand that our team is just in a difficult situation to turn this around.

Another factor nobody is thinking about is players are going to be the most sore after week 1 than any other week since their bodies are still adjusting to playing and hitting full speed. CAR players will most likely be fully recovered by Friday whereas we probably won't be fully recovered until Monday...if we didn't have a game.

The slowness and recovery time alone will affect our play negatively. Imagine if you just did a body crushing workout. Your body is so sore 3 days later but you also need to do another competitive workout against other guys who rested a full week and a half. No way you would be at your best.

He's got at least 5 inches on Ward maybe more to go with super long arms and at least a 50 LB weight difference. I'm not doubting Wards ability but he's going to have to overcome a lot physically to win that battle.

I don't think we really have a chance in this one...what I am hoping for is to give them hell and make it competitive. I am not big on moral victories...but this is most definitely a game where that is all I am asking for. It is just too soon in the process to expect more than that.
We are either going to win by a point or lose by 17. Can't decide . If we can get to Cam a few times early in the game he might go into pouty meltdown mode... that's our best chance at winnning.

True, but Ginn has never been a true threat, and Ward hits harder then all the other cb's. Plus If Ward is our best CB I want him to take away their best receiver
If we score more points we'll win the game

Forcing a QB like Cam to make consistent high passes is not a bad idea. Risk reward definately

Yeah, the only thing we can do is make sure to stop their run-game and hope to pressure Cam into some INTs.

On offense, we need to play very tight and safe but take some occasional deep shots.

CAROLINA's offense is so simple that if we dont get caught up to CAMERON's size and athletecism, we shouldn't have any problem containing them... CAM looks for Olsen 75% of the time, so please, no TANK on Olsen !!!

Their defense is as good as ours, we mirror each other in my opinion.. but KELLY needs to be patient on this game... we wont have success early in both passing and running game, but the way to attack that defense is throw those SEAM routes to the TEs over and over..

I think it will also be as important to keep the chain moving on Offense because if we can't keep their Offense off the field it's going to be a long night for our D and it will really test our depth.
If we win this game, I may as well take Monday off because I'm not going to get any work done.
