Our first and second team defense kept McCarthy's offense in check. I was 92% satisfied with the defensive side of the ball.

Ray Ray is a beast, and if he doesn't start I will have an issue with coaching. Ray Ray is in on every play when he's on the field

anyway, positives in no order
1. tank's pass rush (his run blocking was pretty bad tho)
2. patton. got open on that bad pass, scored a TD. baby steps.
3. first string oline. nothing spectacular but nothing terrible either. just doing its job.
4. buckner. his run game help has been huge. we really need that because run game D is very porous. I know we've been spoiled for 5 years since 2010, but still
5. ray-ray. energy and drive
6. marcus rush. energy and drive, might have earned a 53 spot
7. all RBs. no fumbles this game, all running hard fighting for yards and being elusive (harris in partcular). great to see.
8. driskel. looked like he was playing a college system, but was deliberate and looks like a natural in a zone read.
The colts did drop to an insanely bad team when Peyton was out that year. 10-6 to 2-14 if I remember right. I don't know if anyone thought Kap would take this team to an 11-12 win team, but had hoped with an actual offensive minded coach maybe he could be improved. He looked like dump. First game action in quite some time but I for sure had hopes of him looking at least decent.

If the receivers had caught those passes from Driskel we'd all be talking about him.

Run game
Ronald Blair
Tank Carradines Rush (edge setting not so much)
OL when Gabbert was on the field
Why is everyone so damn negative because Kap was poor? Don't get it.

Blaine looked like he was in control of the offense
The first team O-Line (with A.Davis in at RG) looked really good.
Ray-Ray Armstrong stood out to me.
Tank was pretty solid and active.
Buckner played pretty well.
Mike Davis had a few nice plays and I liked what I saw from Driskell....
About it....Not a great night!

The defense did alright aside from all the 3rd and 4th down conversions. Especially the 3rd and 19. Those were all pretty frustrating to watch but it's preseason where as most of those 4th down attempts don't even exist in the regular season, so you can't get too riled up about those.

Against 1's? Or 2's? (or 3's?)
