Alex has won a heck of a lot of games.

He wouldn't here

he sure did when we had a good D.

Phillip Rivers wouldn't have won many games with us last year.

So did Kap. Looks like we have the type of QB you want on the roster already

if he wins the job, by all means.

Or not comfortable that their WR can catch the ball.

is there any difference between a pass that goes 20 yards for a TD to a TE than one that goes to a WR? Still results in 20 yards and a TD.

Yeah. This is weird. Now the offense is criticized for primarily using TEs and RBs when that's what we needed to improve upon from last week? Last week Gab targeted like 7 different receivers in 3 series and now it's too little. LOL.

There's a reason Alex Smith lost his job here. Same reasons.

Yeah, Harbaugh wanted a college QB.

Just getting a chance to watch the game now. These announcers are TERRIBLE. How many times could they call out the wrong player. Called TJE Bowman and Deandrew White Hyde. That was just the first half lol

Kelly won't say specific how far into the game starters will play in Week 3. Depends on how many snaps they get in first half.
One thing that I have really liked are the explosive, numerous long runs we've had in two games. If we can continue that into the regular season we'll be Ok.

Gabbert getting a checkdown to Hyde undeserved lol

having good o-line play is nice, and even our depth has preformed well. I was not prepared for this.
I know it was a preseason game and a lot of guys are naturally amped up because they are trying really hard to make the team or move up the roster, but it seemed to me that the team in general was charged up more than I would expect. For example, when Ponder came off the field after both his touchdowns, a lot of guys swarmed him with very "animated" congratulations - they seemed to be genuinely excited for him - a guy that just showed up a few of days before. Maybe it's just me, but I think Kelly has got these guys jazzed up about working together as a team. If so, I hope it carries through the early brutal schedule of regular season games where wins may be scarce.

Very true and some of those holes have been enormous by NFL standards. What's crazy is that our big boys are getting out in space on screens as well. Power and athleticism.

Funny, I was posting about this young teams 'moxy' earlier. They had a chance to go down 14-0 but clamped down and just took over and again, if not for untimely fumbles, would be celebrating a whole lot more. But these kids have fight in them. I hope they carry that over to the regular season. That's what we had all hoped for...be in just about every game, fight your ass off, never give up, etc. and grow in the process.

This teams arrow is trending upwards. These preseason games may not count but they matter.
