I love Bosa - Osa - Defo - Mykel. Awesome run stopping front, gives us more fronts to run from effectively. Sprinkle in Halton, White, Sebastian Valdez - not bad.

im hoping we trade for one more DE, like Danielle Hunter (pipe dream), and some slot WR that we can use at Punt returner or something

I'm so excited about this trade. We get DeFo back and didn't give up much to do it. Awesome!

We also effectively lost Dee Ford as well at the same time.

AA was a bit cheaper and was a good player. I still think biggest issue wasn't the trade but that the return on the trade ultimately netted Kinlaw. That sucked.

A lot of fans don't realize how a DT like
Defo makes all the other pass rushers around him better. Hes so disruptive, requires double teams, can run stuff and pass rush. That is HUGE for your teams pass rushers

I don't think it was a 1 for 1 choice. If I remember right, the choice eventually was AArmstead (extended in 2020) + Jimme Ward (extended in 2020) + 1st rounder (Buckner value in a trade) OR retain Buckner.

I would extend him because we don't know if we can keep Bosa healthy long term and we need a pillar on the DL

He's been pretty reliable and durable for his career. But I would wait until the post season or after to see how he holds up.

The most games he's missed was last year in 2025 when he missed 7 games for a herniated disc in his neck that required surgery.

NO ONE liked the trade. But it was accepted for salary reasons. The thinking at the time was that you either signed buc and let Arik and ward walk or let buc walk and keep those guys. Plus they signed Trent also with the "savings" SO that was why most people accepted it although from a personnel perspective it was of course a disaster as buc provided injury free all pro caliber play for most of his career at indy.

He is listed with 6 sacks on pff and 20 pressures. He has a weirdly low rating of 62.

Now they can finally blitz less.

This is a dude who should've been a Niner for life. FO did him dirty, glad he's back. We need to make it right by him by giving him a ring

Bosa is coming back to a completely different line than the one he left. Williams, White, Osa, and an ascending Valdez, Halton & Height. Good luck blocking that. Just give those guys a 14 point lead.
