Anthony Davis may be kind of an ass, but it's not just him that has had issues with the front office. Frank Gore talked about how he was disrespected by the FO, he was the heart and soul of this team for so long. We simply don't treat players well at all. Baalke is basically the opposite of how Eddie D was with respect to player treatment. He pushed Harbaugh out the door because of his inflated ego. Free agents don't really seem to want to come here. Baalke is largely responsible for our free fall from imo the best team in the NFL from 2011-2013 to one of the worst in 2015. Baalke is the cancer that needs to go. The only way he should be able to save himself is if he absolutely hits a homerun in this draft, which is highly doubtful.

I'm not saying Baalke is without fault during his tenure here (he clearly has made mistakes) or that he will not deserve to be fired should he blow this draft, too, but I suspect it was more York's doing that A) pushed Harbaugh out the door, and B) subsequently hired Tomsula to a position he was unqualified for. Many of his detractors credit him with pushing Harbaugh out, I just don't think he's that stupid to do that and then hire Tomsula, that doesn't make sense. What makes sense is a young owner wanting more of the credit for winning than he deserves and using his power to get rid of people who don't kiss his @$$. You could argue Baalke should have had more self respect and resign from his position instead of allowing the young owner to usurp the GM's usual authority on football matters, but I am willing to give Baalke the benefit of the doubt on those coaching staff moves and the potential to hit a home run in this draft. The trajectory of the 49ers return to respectability hinges on this draft. Is it going to be fast? Or is going to be another long road? If Baalke doesn't start hitting homeruns (again) draft wise, he should be dropped.

Anthony Davis has complained about every single coach he's had from Schiano to Harbaugh. You didn't see any complaints from him when he was signing his extension. Now all the sudden Baalke is terrible.

With that said, I'm not trying to say Baalke is great but Davis is just a whiney b***h and his opinion of Baalke should not be used to reinforce any prior feelings towards the FO.

Davis is on contract if he reinstates. If he reinstates, he's a Niner. Baalke can't force Davis to change his contract and Davis can't force Baalke to trade him or promise him the starting gig.

eddie stripped walsh of a title after a playoff loss to the vikings, he also got pissed after the giants game and cut ronnie lott so do not paint eddie as being lilly white! and if he had been in charge i shudder to think what we would have done after we lost the super bowl.. oh and in regards to gore a one year offer to a older running back of four million bucks was more than fair. gore is the one who is upset now after going through quote" the most miserable year of my life"

him b***hing about staley from his couch was the last straw for me and I suspect for staley to. i also suspect this latest batch of tweets is the last straw for trent and the niners. i said this once and i double down on it. to use davis as a poster boy to prop up the hate for trent is foolish in my opinion

Hard for me to believe people are looking at the AD situation and blaming Baalke. Come on, people. That's just ridiculous. There are lots of things to be angry at Baalke about, but Anthony Davis isn't one of them. This is all about Davis.

Yeah Eddie D was such a terrible owner that let his ego and spur of the moment anger get in the way of success all the time That's why he won all those Superbowls. Of course no one is perfect and owners will make mistakes, some poor decisions, and treat some people harshly. It is a business though and if a player was past their prime, Eddie knew it was time for them to move on. And players get hurt at the time but understand the process later on. In large part Eddie D was loved by the majority of the players that played during his tenure as owner. It's because he treated them so well with high class expenses. They talk about all this in his football life documentary, how much the players loved him. Basically the opposite of Baalke. I don't think too many players are too fond of Baalke..

again show me where i said he was a terrible owner. for gods sake. oh he did f**k up bad by dumping lott. no issue with dumping craig but lott still could play and could have kept haley under control. oh how do you know players do not like trent?
