he will be better than mangini. i have more confidence in this head coach to put together a qualified coaching staff. everyone is new to everyone so lets give everyone a bit of a break. i am glad the staff is pretty much filled. i will trust they will meet each other and put in alot of meetings and time before they can actually present what they want to do to the players. just because some of us have not heard much of our coaches does not mean they will suck. its about the right group of guys and i am optimistic the team got it right this time
Can't say he will better than Mangini there is no way of knowing that. Im hopeful for the best but I think our D will be ranked low. Hopefully our offense can score some points.
i am sure our offense will be better. if the defense is going to get worn out i would rather have it be due to the fact the offense is scoring touchdowns as compared to last years 30 second drives. no one can convince me this guy will be worse than mangini, i will have to see it with my own eyes. i am hopeful i will not have to go down that road again
Well wasn't Mangini's defense really good in home games ?
i hate hearing that sus

. i am not going to slobber over or miss some fat ass dip s**t whose only claim to fame was his defense played well for 8 games. i am all for new ideas and new blood

Clearly the 49ers DC job was not attractive.

Well I'm sure the offense will score points and be flashy somewhat but you still need a D to win in the playoffs. I really don't know about this hire. I think I would have much rather kept Mangini for some consistency with the guys already there.

Chips gonna need to score allot of points…
The whole problem with last years defense was its overly complex for the sake of being complex, then they hire this guy. Its f*cking amazing that our own FO can't see 2 years into the past to notice why Fangios KISS defense was successful and why Manginis was flawed. Now we bring in a guy who is gonna stay with the complex route. If we still had Willis alongside Bowman I don't think it would be an issue because they have the ability to recognize and react like all pros. But we no longer have that benefit and these defenses seem to continually screw up.

Should've just hired Pettine if he's still out there.

The fact that the 49ers were turned down by a position coach and that they had to scrape the bottom of the barrel for a failed retread.
